30,0000 service
Hi everyone,
I wanted to get some quick feedback as i did some searching around on the forum but couldnt find the answers.
Im close to the 30,000 mile mark and i know the car requires a somewhat major service at that point in time. Does anyone know roughly how much this should cost and what this includes? Any feedback would be much appreciated, thanks!

I think I had mine about a year ago. When I get home, I can try to dig it up. Have you tried calling a few shops to compare against the dealer? I can't remember off hand what's included.

Mercedes will charge you double an independent. If you do yours independent, make sure to save all receipts and records to rectify your warranty, if you still have one. My service A was like 350, service b was 650, i'll be doing service c in February 2014. those prices were at a dealership. Prepare thy anus.

My 30k service ran about $900 from my indy shop. But it also depends on what needs to be done on the car. I don't have my invoice with me but I'll post what it included when I get it.

I just remembered this thread...my 30k service included:
engine oil/filter change
transmission oil/filter change
power steering oil change
air filters replaced
& various checks for leaks, wear, etc.
In addition, cabin filters should be replaced every 45k, brake fluid flushed every 2 years, anti-freeze fluid every 3 years.
This is general maintenance information from my indy tech who spent 20+ years as a MB service adviser. I hope this helps.
