Yet another M157 tapping question...
Okay, I am a newb! Sorry for the confusion... yes, I should have written M156.
I am going to create a new thread, with the correct engine name to avoid confusion.

Really really confused.....you have a 2009 C with an M157 motor? I assume you mean M156.

There is/was a class action lawsuit for M156's showing some premature cam wear. I personally have yet to see a car which exhibits that problem. There is also a headbolt issue with pre 2010 M156's but that is more of a silent killer, I have not heard of anyone having an audible tick related to the headbolts but I suppose a leaking headbolt could result in improper oiling up top.
