I never see any track posts anymore... are all the racers gone?
I got my tranny back, installing it this sunday and track next friday night.
I have a couple SC mustangs and a TT viper to tangle with. Everyone is over 700hp. The viper is pushing 1000lbs torque.

My first track day was at pocono a few weeks back, can't believe i waited this long to take the car to the track, what a blast until the serpentine belt broke in the last session of the day but that a whole other story.

Drag racing tends to die out during the warmer Summer months since obviously our cars won't be running at their full potential. Expect more track related threads to pop up as we get close to Fall/Winter. I should be hitting the strip and airport events starting in October. I did go to Famoso Raceway last month in 80-85F temps and made a single pass at 121mph (ET sucked at 11.9 due to street tires and 2.1 60 ft), so I have high hopes for this car once it cools off and I get serious.

2013 Chevy 427 Torch Red
I typically just went to the strip cause Keith made me do it or I wanted to see what if anything a new mod would yield. Road course with the C63 was plenty of fun but wear items dont last very long. DOT slicks just 8 sessions
I let the C63 go so I could afford a 427 which had a small window of opportunity to purchase. My current track toy is an FRS that I just happened to buy from Keith. It weighs 2700 pounds and lapped Roebling in 1:30 completely stock. Next month it will be back with a supercharger, coilovers and R6's.
I would have loved to have been able to keep the C63 with it's can do attitude!

The FRS looks like a great track car and will be even more fun with the supercharger!! Glad you are enjoying it!!

I made too many friends here to just walk away. Perhaps I'll be back with a bi-turbo C63 some day.
Congrats again on your R8 Keith. Have fun and be safe.

I still have my winter wheel/tire setup so no track for me until the new setup arrives. It's taken a couple weeks longer than planned and I still don't have an ETA from ACG.
I may just go and pick up some new tires for the stock rims so I can go.

I track my car quite a lot but only did drag once since it doesnt really excite me being an automatic and driving in a straight line haha.
mostly wanting to do road courses...if some of you are in the north east area and doing track days please let me know i'm always trying to find something.

Only got 3 runs in before I got kicked off the track for no cage,
10.9 at 128.8mph, 1.65 60'. Racing at DA around 3000ft.I didn't have time to even play with the launches, I was just flooring it.
Comparison sake, friends 750hp mustang was doing 11.5 at 124, a Renntech cls with downpipes and tune, supposedly 700hp was doing 11.7 at 123. A stock c63 was doing 12.4, I didn't catch his mph.
Previously, headers, race gas tune, 200lbs removed, I was doing 11.88 at 118.
I am extremely happy with the results. To touch 10s at this track is very impressive. People were constantly coming up to the car and couldn't believe the times... A few modded GTR's were there doing 11s, I would have loved to run them.
I guess I have to start work on a cage.
Oh ya if anyone is looking or drag tires, the dot draghooisers are unrel, they dead hook like a beauty.
