Vossen CV3 in 20's - Have Questions

Hi everyone, I'm new to the Mercedes Benz world and I recently picked up an almost new 2010 Black C63 AMG Sedan. I've been looking at different tuning applications and wheels and are trying to making a decision on the wheel side ASAP.

For the money, the Vossen line of wheels seem appealing to me. However, the CV3's will only clear the AMG brakes when running a 20x8.5f / 20x10r (I believe) with a 5mm spacer. The spacer doesnt bother me as I run them on my 2007 Z06 Corvette and have had zero issues.

What I'm trying to figure out or get opinions on is the idea of running 20's on this car. I really want to fill out the wheel well with a nice wheel and I'm not sure if I'm going to lower the car or now (my vette is 2 inches off the ground).

It seems after hours of reading the majority of C63 AMG owners run 19's but I'm not 100% sure if that's because of preference or if its because the wheels they want only come in the correct offsets/sizes in 19's and not in 20's. Based on some of the pictures I've seen online, the 20's don't look bad or out of place but I have yet to see anything in person.

Wanted to get some opinions/suggestions on running 20's on this car. I'm leaning towards the CV3's because I like how it really showcases the AMG brakes as well as by design is assumingly easier to clean/maintain. I'm not sure how performance will be affected as I haven't found any data on factory AMG 18's weight vs Vossen's line of wheels.

I'm looking to go Matte Graphite (there's a TON of black on black cars where I live in all makes and models) w/ Nitto Invo's because the tire size I was suggested to run isn't produced by Hankook or I'd try out the V12's

I've also recently read that Vossen is working on a Precision Series line of wheels that would include wheels (new or current models?) in 19's for the C63 AMG. If that's the case would it make sense to wait or would 20's be OK/good/etc to run.

IMO everyone choose 19' for a good compromise between look and performance. Plus we are a bit limited with the offset and tire choice in the rear. If you go 20' you will need to lower the car otherwise it will look like a SUV!lol! As well tire choice will be limited in 20' and you will loose sidewall which can help you protect your alloy against imperfection of roads.
Did you look for other wheel manufacturers? There are plenty of them out there like HRE, ADV, Vorsteiner, Forgestar, D2, etc.... Dont limit yourself to Vossen is my suggestion. And most of the aftermarket forged wheel are definitely lighter than the 18 OEM.

I have looked at the other manufacturers you listed except D2's for this car. The Forgestar CF5 appears to be the equivalent to the CV3 and comes in a 19 with I'm assuming no spacers needed. It's a very simple wheel but I dig it.

It all depends on your offset. You can be aggressive and flush or conservative as OEM. Problem with Forgestar is the delay. Although a member the other day got its new shoes in 3 weeks. This was a record.
But yeah if you dont want to throw 6k+ into wheels Forgestar is a good choice for the bucks. I hope you'll find the wheels of your dream. GL
