Should I pull the trigger on this 507 Edition?
So, do to some unfortunate circumstances this last weekend, my C63 was reduced to nothing more than a burnt pile ash and a charred skeleton of a car. I will save the photos/video footage and gritty details of that for another post in the near future once my insurance stuff is all hashed out. But essentially I saw a car in front of me drive off the side of the road and roll into a ravine, and pulled off the side of the road to help. While I was helping, my car started the tall dry grass i'd pulled onto on fire, and ended up burning down my car. Luckily everyone was able to walk away with their lives.
Anyway, it's time to get a new car!
I'd only had my C63 for about 7 or 8 months, and I loved it. Therefore it's likely that I am going to just buy another one, as I wasn't done enjoying it yet! Now I have the opportunity to get a 507 Edition that will be arriving soon. The dealership doesn't seem to be willing to wiggle at all on the price. Any suggestions?
Here is what's on the table right now.

holy cow, glad you are OK. have you considered a lease? 2015 is a new body style/engine
id be really hesitant to drop 90k on a car that is about to be dated by the time i take delivery.

Sorry for your car. Good thing nothing happened to you.
I think it's too much too pay 88+ for a car that's going to change later this year or next spring the latest.
You can buy used CLS63 for this amount.
But if you really want a brand new car, you can search for a 2013 C63 sitting on a dealers lot for almost a year. I'm sure they will do their best to get rid of their cars.

Do it cause you probably have a carbon fiber diffuser laying around your house by now!
Also try calling around other dealers around the Bay.

Anthony and a couple of other people are heroes. The GTR BE careened off the road and landed upside down. Anthony was first on the scene and had to help pull 2 people out of the car. One was banged up without any broken bones, but the passenger suffered 2 cracked vertebrae. Both are lucky to be alive. His car happened to go up while he was otherwise occupied, but as others on his FB and IG said, it's just stuff. Everyone walked away with their lives.

Yeah, I've discussed that with my sales guy as well, but the earliest build slot he had available was in Sept, so I wouldn't have it delivered till Dec/Jan most likely. That option isn't off the table, but this was just the price for the one that is immediately available next week.

Could be one of the reason why your salesman wont be flexible with the price. IMO don't fall for it unless you really want a 507 and you are out of patience and you are willing to spend that much money.

Anybody else notice that the listing states, "251: Delimitation of top speed to 186 mph?" I thought it was only going to be 174mph... On my first invoice for my 507 it said 186, but when I went back and added the Lighting Package it now says 174.....

Sorry to see that, Anthony! Must have been a painful sight.
I am not sure if buying a 507 at msrp is a good idea. with taxes and registration, you will be shy of 100k, which is quite a lot for an outgoing model. the difference between 2013 P31 and 2014 507 could turn out to 20k or even more.

If you can wait and have time you may look at ordering a 507 and doing the ED thing. I thought that comes with a 7% discount off MSRP and if you can talk the dealer down a little more, might be able to get that 10% easier.
Can also save money by not ordering all the options unless you really had to have them. Illuminated door sills for 850, someone would have to explain that to me. I think I'd notice it for a week maybe two then just forget about it as it becomes routine. You guys may disagree, but the Driver's Assistance Package and Parktronic stuff are fancy (got them on my wife's GLK), but left them off the 507. I think handing too much control and relying on safety features can eventually lead to complacency. Still just me, but that is also about 3k in options.
I do blame you guys for persuading me into getting the lighting package though

Yes, engine has all the forged SLS internals. It's essentially the Black Series without the wide body.
Yeah, if i customize my own I'd leave a lot of that stuff off. The blind spot assist is nice, but I definitely dont need the illuminated door sills and parktronic and all that.
The only reason this one is on the table is because it's available next week.
