Stock c63 coupe- Looking for BS Body kit

I'm picking up a 2013 c63 Coupe. I'm looking to add the black series body kit without the dumb wing, and front fender "dual blades".

This is the look I want: CLICK HERE

So far I've only found these links as people who supply it. Has anyone done this? Any recommendations where to order?

I wouldnt spend the money to swap body panels on a car like this. Just let it be pretty for what it is. And the wing is fully functional and looks good imo. Cant bash an oem wing.

Misha makes a nice kit

http://mishadesigns.com/mercedes-c-class/

IMO you are wasting your money, what did you spend on your 2013 C63 coupe? $72,000? For $20,000 more you could have had a real Black Series, there are a few without the "ugly" wing listed in the high to mid $90k's which you could have probably picked up for low $90K money.

You are going to spend at least $15k for a proper widebody conversion(excluding wheels) since the rear panels need to be cut and welded(major body work) and it will need a complete paint job, the "cheap" body kits go for $5,000 and a good one will run you $7,500 and doing it with all original MB parts(the right way to do it) will cost you $12,000 and that does not include labor or paint. Then don't forget you need wheel spacers and special wheels with special off-set and back spacing to fill your new wider wheel wells and don't forget the new wider rubber.

Come to think of it once you factor kit, install labor, paint, wheels and rubber you will probably end up spending more than you would have on the real deal

enjoy......in the mean time I will be out enjoying mine with the ugly wing

I have to agree with you ,aside from this headache and value wise you will have a bigger headache when you want to get rid of the car later down the road! I've done this before on BMW putting pure m3 parts on and I've learned my lesson lol!

True, I did not even think about resale value. All the aftermarket work he doess will be worth about $.10 on the dollars as where a real BS will hold it's value a bit more. Not to mention how these mods might affect portions of his warranty.

After it's all said and done he might save a couple thousand bucks on going the conversion route but think of all the down time while the car is in the shop. Let's not forget there are some goodies on the black series such as KW coil-overs, rear dif cooler, P31 and LSD that come standard on a BS that his car will still not have(unless he purchased a P31 then he will get red brake calipers and forged internals like a BS).

Ok so for all that are intersted, I found a dealer in Chicago. Kit cost 5,600+2-3 week install of 4,000-5,000.

Total cost $10,000.

For all the idiots saying its a poser body kit, you need to take the pickle out of your ***. This body kit isn't EXACT. Second the car is still a C63. It's no where near the same as a c250 owner putting a c63 kit+badges on their car. Give it a rest. Not every1 was fortunate enough to get a reserved black series. The body kit without the wing and front sidemarker flares looks like a different car and ten times better.

When the car gets old and things start needing to be fixing or maintenance, it becomes a pain the *** finding parts to replace or need fixing. Resale value is garbage as no one wants to buy a Frankenstein car , trading in would be a bigger pain in the *** for a new car. lol Been through it all so i'm playing it extra safe this time! Nothing more comforting than just dropping a car at the dealer and letting them take care of business and I don't have to "worry" anything that would void warranty or if parts would fit etc.

However it does looks sweet though when all is said and done!

First off, i didn't see anyone call it a poser kit...secondly who is the idiot? Do you really think this kit can be instlled and painted for $5,000? LOL, it is almost a complete paintjob, fenders, hood, front and rear bumper covers, door jams. The only thing you will not need to paint are the doors and rear deack lid. What are you going to do about wheels? Stock wheels will not work on a widebody, you are looking at at least $6000 for new wheels and tires.

...and last but not least you are looking to lease this car based on another thread you started

https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...good-deal.html

Who in their right mind would lease a car and then drop $15,000-$20,000 into it?

Dude, do yourself a favor and get a real Black Series

I'm leasing it because if I need to I can get out of it easily in 2-3 years. I plan on buying it at the end if it holds up. c63 owners aren't in their right mind. We are already paying out the *** for a less than fancy c-class.

Sorry "idiots" was too harsh lol. <3 Just sick of the poser talk, its so silly. People can do what they want to their cars. That's why it's "their car"

Then it's going to look like crap on the rear fenders, the only wasy to do the rears are flaring the factory steel fenders or cutting off the old ones and welding on new ones. Trust me on this, do a forum search and see for yourself, there are several guys that have already done these conversions.

Its not a poser or not issue. No one means to insult you, but for what it is, a c63 is already a very nice car and it looks plenty pretty to the eye. Need more aggresiveness? Get some mode carbon bits like a front lip and a rear spoiler, some aftermarket wheels etc. And it will do the trick. For the money you will spend it will not come out perfect. And only being 10k short of a nice hardly used blsck series will be silly. Just trying to help put things into proper perspective. Sometimes less is more. In a situation like this, less is more indeed.

I think the biggest thing when looking at these kits is to make sure the underpanels / plastics and all that stuff line up and fit. I'm OCD and I know a lot of kits with the larger / wider / additional stuff added to the body, a lot of the underbody, engine covers , etc won't fit and would look weird (cheap) or you may need to forgo it altogether.

It's not 20grand. It's 10grand max. If you pay more you are a fool and didn't do the research or proper sourcing.

Please tell me how much a black series c63 goes for in toronto? I'm gunna guess a lot more than a c63 stock.

THIS!!!!! lol.

Come on people. This is a classy forum. It's his money, let him do whatever he wants. He's trying to get ideas on how to go through with his plan. I'm not a conversion expert, but you might want to contact HMS or SGA.

Yes, jrcart has no idea what he is talking about.

To echo his comments below...

And to your original point, no issue if you can't afford a Black Series but just not understanding why are you trying to create a budget knock off on a leased vehicle. Please feel free to prove us wrong but based on the collective experience on this forum it is clear that trying the cheap/shortcut route will not yield the desired result.

More importantly, the C63 is truly a badass car in its own right... if anything you should look at wheels, springs, carbon trim bits, etc. Things are are easily reversed and have some resale value.

To each their own of course, good luck either way... and make sure you post pictures on how your project progresses.

I know you and jrcart are very knowledgeable in these forums. I thought everyone had the right to mod their cars as they please, but why are you both so hard on byouka? I don't even know him, but I have to defend his argument. He wants to make the car his own. Let him be. If you guys won't help him with his cause and just bash him, just don't post.

I respect you, vise and jrcart. You guys have amazing vehicles and great taste. I love seeing your threads with great pictures. But please just let it go.

p.s. good guy khmergod

Easy man, I don't know ****... I just joined in March and only had my C63 since April. That said its just some constructive feedback, unless I'm missing something its buyaka350 that is flying off the handle here.

My 2 cents... it doesn't take much time on the forum to realize jrcart knows what he is talking about. The OP can ignore that if he wants but calling a long time/respected member like jrcart an 'idiot' and 'someone that has no clue what he is talking about' is borderline trolling.

Back to the original point, if the OP doesn't want to accept advice/recommendations that is fully within his right... but it does not discount the advice being given (ie. below).
