curious if anyone is installing these by themselves? if so what type of silicone are you using? Any hints or helpful methods of install? I will be tackling this myself.

I was going to do it myself, but after I received mine and did a test fit, I decided it'd be better to just have a professional do it. Didn't cost very much at all.

I did it myself tonight not to bad.
factory lip comes off with 8 plastic pop style clips. Four on the bottom are easily accessible from under the car. Lowered cars may need to have one side jacked up. I did it anyway and I'm stock ride height and it was easier. After you get the bottoms off you will need to take the top clips off. They are on the other side of the bottom grille. You can pop two off by sticking a flathead screwdriver past the grille no problem. There are two on either end which are under what looks like the parking sensor boxes? Remove the bottom splash guard which takes a bunch of 8mm silver bolts. Pretty straight forward theres like 10+ bolts. Once thats down you can pop the clips off from under the car. Did this with just a jack and a jack stand. What i used for the silicone that actually worked was RTV the black stuff. Made by permatex. I work at a shop and thats the stuff they use for valve covers, and all kinds of serious sealing needs. Plus its removable. So i did a bead around the entire lip. Right on the edge. Make sure your clean the surface very good before laying this down. Once layed down you may be like me and wonder WTF are you going to do for this lip to be held into place. I happened to have like 4 sets of tires laying around so i used them. I just dragged them up to the lip and they held it in place. Once dry you can clean the "bead" of silicone that comes out between the lip and bumper. Pretty straight forward. If theres any tiny pieces you cant use, find a toothpick. Works great!
