Techtec S2 has Techtec ECU and an Exhaust.

I'm pretty surprised by the outcome.

Looks like the C got an early jump, probably CLS turbos spooling up, but the CLS reeled it in and overtook.

Someone needs a new camera. My guess is the CLS heatsoaked as it was pulling on it pretty good up to that point then it just dropped off. The stock IC system isn't all that great, especially if it was a 2012 with the non isolated system. That was a pretty long run for the stock system to keep it going. Mine heatsoaked all the time, was very annoying.

Having never owned a turbo/supercharged engine I am admittedly dim on this subject, but I thought heat soak actually diminished once you have that level of airflow?

I wish. Was the speed limiter on the CLS removed? Could be that too. Either way cool race.

Thought I saw them flying by traffic in one of the vids. I'd of crapped my pants that someone would merge in front of me.

The higher the speeds go the more the advantage goes to the M156 due to heatsoak.

Both vids show the battle going back and forth with the M156 pulling at the end.

Should be interesting to see what both run at the unlimited 500 standing mile.

Notice this same S4 C63 gets clobbered pretty good by the MHP tuned S2 CLS63 in other videos already posted in consecutive races.

Techtec definitely removes the top speed limiter.
