c63 exhaust
Just picked up my car last week. Love it. Animal on gas, but an animal on the road as well. One thing that's driving me crazy coming from a 335is is that with the c63 even in manual mode, when I go all the way up in revs in 1st, 2nd, etc the exhaust just seems like... "not enough" . Even with all 4 windows down (sedan) it's still not loud enough. the only time I notice it is randomly if I'm cruising and go WOT in sport mode.
Any one can chime in on this? How do I make this thing roar, or at least hear it roar. I could give two s**** how it sounds for everyone else. I'm the one paying for the car, I want to hear it hah

I have no 2nd cat and X-pipe in the center. The car is load for sure if you hear it from outside but inside you dont hear that much.
What I do sometime is put down the rear seat flat then you can hear more nice sound.

You can always put the stock back on after the lease is over.
As far as warranty goes, read this

Don't listen to the troll. Headers will definitely help! I plan on ordering the Agency Power Headers and Valvetronic Exhaust soon! I have heard the headers in person and the sound is great!

Yup from inside the cabin with windows down. I love the sound it makes and would never want to do anything to mess with it. Any louder and it would become obnoxious. That's just my opinion of course.

Also, I found that my car got louder as it started to break in. I'm at 19000 kms now and it sounds a lot louder than it did six months ago at 3000. After around 15000 it started to sound much better.

The Magnuson-Moss act only applies in the US. Unfortunately we don't have such a thing in Canada, so the dealer can pretty much void the warranty at their will. I had to acknowledge and sign a warranty exemption for my aftermarket clear corner lights and bulbs when I asked to have them installed by the dealer.

On my 3rd c63, all were stock and they ripped hell. So loud on start-up. They were all ridiculous. So, not quite understanding. Why is yours not that loud? Seems all knew cars would bang out of the box quicker. Here's the deal: try rolling a round, after correcting some easy and briefly. try no to roll your front window all the way down. bring the front windows down only about a quarter down, and the back windows down about 1/2 to 3/4 down, depending on driving style and what you want to hear. They put major sound deadening in the car which doesn't really work with the windows open.
Tell you a trick. If you really wanna here her, put most of the windows up, not all the way up, just about a few inches down on all windows. With all windows open a few inches, you will DEFINITELY here you sweet car roar and blip and you be able it here all of the wonderful acceleration that your car spews. Rich ,deep notes. However, downshift will be totally different. You will here the fabulous blips of the downshifting, they are wonderful!!!!!!
Thats just to please you in your quest to here your car. If you really wanna here your car, delete the CAT and remove the resonator. You be amazingly surprised. NO warranty issue at all. If someone gives you grief about it, take it to the dealership, have them perform the work. Then BOOM, take em right back off.
Those are to ways to get you louder exhaust, with just window placement.
That third way is easy and they are easily reinstalled and can be put back before you go to the dealer. It would be sick and non the wiser.
But at least try the different window position. You would be surprised.

Hypothetically, they would have a very hard time claiming that the side markers somehow caused the engine head bolts to fail, but if the relay / module powering the lights were to fail, they would indeed have a case to deny the warranty on the relay / module.
MB is not a shady operation and they likely wouldn't even bother with a small-ticket item, but if they're looking at absorbing the cost of an engine replacement, I am sure they will have a very good look at the ECU tune and the engine oil you've been using. AFAIK we don't have anything even close to the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act at either the federal or provincial levels, and what little protection we may have under the BPA or OMVIC regulations is both open to interpretation and puts the burden of proof on the consumer.

C63, 335i
I have a 335i but I'm familiar with the 335is as well. Not sure if you ran your 335is catless or not but a catless 335is is going to be louder than the stock AMG exhaust.
What you can do is have a friend drive your AMG and have them run it past you WOT. It's a lot louder than you realize from inside the cabin. I didn't realize how loud my car was until my friend went WOT next to me in my AMG while I was driving my 335i.

I don't want to have to go under a tunnel/underpass to hear my car.
My 335is was bone stock. I don't want to stand on the curb and have someone drive my car past me to hear it lol.
Neither of these are addressing the solution I seek, which is to bring that noise and experience into the cabin for the driver/owner of the vehicle daily when I go WOT. ]
I appreciate the suggestions though. ty

How quite is it exactly? on a scale of 1-10 (10 being loudest) with all windows up...I'd measure mine about a 7 maybe a 8 sometimes..I highly doubt a 335i is louder then a stock C63.
