Phantom A/C

Anyone else's 2011 C63 AMG have their A/C turn on randomly?!?!

I have a 2009 and when I have the temp on auto and hit the A/C button to turn it off the light goes off but the A/C doesn't always go off. Its annoying.

Only when on "auto" but it's just acting like the thermostat in your house, keeping the car at a chosen temp. Wether it cycles the a/c or heater depends on the conditions..

So are you saying that If it on auto and have the A/C on that it will acutally not use the A/C when it doesn't need to, thus saving the drag on the engine? I think the A/C is always on when the light is on.
