Drag Frustration
So I've gone to the drags 3 times in the last 4 weeks.
Started off with PSS rubber on the stock 19s (265s) and got an 11.83 best (4 runs)
Went back the last 2 weeks with R888s. 3 runs each week and got 11.83, 11.86, 11.91 the first week, and 11.83, 11.86 and 11.80.
Best so far is 11.80 but can't seem to crack the 11.7s.
I thought the Toyo R888s will shed more than 0.03sec off my best time. My 60ft is still around 1.82-1.83.
What can I do to get the time down (without a supercharger).
I'm considering getting lightweight rotors but not sure that will save any time.
Opinions? Options?

I thought about that, but I want to try and see how quick I can go with full trim and pump fuel. I can get MTs or Hoosiers, race fuel, take out headrests floor ats etc.. But I want to see how quick I can go using daily driver fitout.
I think if I can perfect the takeoff then I can get there. My 60ft should be in the 1.7s with the R888s.

No way to be drag racing and easing into the throttle. You should be WOT right off the line. Get drag tires. Its useless to race without them and attempt to get a good time cause you wont.

I read other posts saying not to get radials with an overall diameter more than 25".

ideally you dont want radials for a drag tire. The bigger the sidewall the better also hence people running 16" wheels and downgraded brakes. If your not spinning than no tire will improve anything, there is no missing traction to give back.

Consistency. I run the same time over and over.
M mode might get you a little quicker if you get every gear change perfect. Miss one but the slightest bit and you lost any time you would have gained from the 2 other perfect changes.

What air pressure where you running? Even though they are not DR's they still like low air pressure, I used to run 22psi in my CLK BS on the stock Pirelli Cors'a and could manage consistant 1.70 60ft's on them and even some 1.6X's once in a while which is very very good for a stock tire.

Welcome to my dilemma I had for ever! I have no idea how ppl in USA crack 1.7 60fts. I managed it once and bam went 11.7. I've ran 2 11.7's. one with 1.7 60ft and the other with a 1.8 60ft. I tried the r888 and mt 245 which is what I now have and no difference. We can't come pare our times to USA times as they simply run faster over there. To get the best times in oz go to Heathcote in Vic. You can try lightening your car, but all that stuff you said will only make a 20kg difference. Try m mode too. I find my best times with s+

Aren't you trying to break that consistency? It seems to me you've discarded every idea given to you, including one related to your driving. How do you expect to improve then?

The only thing I said I didnt want to try at the moment was race setup (gas and drag radials), my aim was seeing how fast I could get it on street trims, day to day.
But by the sound of it it sounds like I am doing the best I can with my current setup. Might need to try some MTs

Honestly, don't waste your money on mts I did, made no difference! If your 60ft is 1.8 your not wheel spinning.
Try race gas, try lightening your car.

Maybe MTs might get me a bit better traction off launch.
