I purchased unlimited tire warranty with Mercedes Benz for $3000 about a year ago for puncture protection and I am not sure but I believe rim protection aswell? I'm reaching my third pair of tires at 10,000 miles and it's getting annoying changing and pretty costy. They are Continental Contisport Contact 5p tires, and don't get me wrong they are good. I drive all city, so not very aggressive but when I can, I usually will. I was wondering if I switched to Michelin PSS would my Mercedes warranty be voided, or can i still have rim warranty but they void my Continental 5p warranty? I have not used the Mercedes warranty once because I lose tread faster than i can get a nail in it, but again I'm not 100% sure if my rims were covered in the plan. Also lets say if I had a michelin PSS with 3/32" left and turned it in, what would be the cash back? I heard it was maybe just 5% if my treads were low but if it is more, then I may save cash in the end by not spending $1000 every couple months.

you paid $3,000 for a tire warranty? that seems extreme. do you mean a full extended car warranty?

I believe it was unlimited tire and unlimited rim repair warranty(tread wear exclueded), but I purchased the warranty about a year ago so I'm not too sure about the rim warranty. I never went in for rim repairs but I do have a tiny rash on my rim. Only going to the dealership can tell, but I'm just asking if anyone else had paid this "wheel warranty fee"
