C 63 507 Edition
Hi Guys,
Im a neewbie here. I just say bye to my 1M BMW and starting to discover the Mercedes world.
I dechrome already couple parts of my car and hided the bumper orange lights.
I have 2 Questions here:
1) I took the 507 Fully loaded. I was expecting that the the AMG performance media was included. I can't seem to find it on my car and the option list 255 was not available to order with the car. Is anyone here ( canada ) experiencing the same thing? Is it possible to unlock that feature or get it installed?
2) I know there is alot on after market exhaust here but im trying to finf the right one. I had the Akrapovic exhaust and downpipes on my 1M. Any recommandations here for more sound?

Welcome to Mbworld and congrats on the new ride. 
Regarding your first question i cannot help since i have a 09 MY. But what does this AMG media performance do? If your 507 is loaded it should include every little option IMO.
Akrapovic is a good choice of exhaust for our cars, a little bit expensive but sounds good. Check some youtube videos. Another option would be economical Mike's power pipe : https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...uy-thread.html . That's what I have and very satisfied so far
There are several other options but basically all you need to do is remove 2nd cat and/or resonator to get a louder exhaust. Ultimately you could go with headers.
Since you said you're in Canada and based on your pictures I assume you are from Montreal? Quel temps fait-il la-bas?

The Performance Media had some pretty cool features. G readings, Torque and Hp numbers, 0-60 timing, 1/4 mile monitoring, and track GPS. Not worth MB's option price IMHO.
Aren't there other products out there that will do that for you? I had the Diablo Trinity tuner for my Corvette and that did everything but the G reading and track GPS for 1/4 the price and the car did its own G reading.

ok thanxs for the reply.
So basically, you justed removed the 2e cat and the resonators? this is what mike pipes is?
Are you satisfied withthe noise? alot louder? Any rasp?

No Mike's pipe just replaces the 2nd cat by H-pipe or straight pipe. Some remove the resonator as well. But you will lose the AMG sound IMO. On the other hand sound will be louder if you replace resonator by straight pipes.

There seems to alot of combinaison possible. I dont want something raspy for sure
Im looking for something deeper. Same sound as actual but louder. I m still on the breaking in period

If you're looking for a louder sound, headers and 2nd cat elimination is one popular method. If you want deeper, I've personally heard the Akrapovic exhaust for a C63 and it's deeper for sure.
