Aussie 2nd Hand c63 Pricing
Hey all,
Looking at 2nd hand c63 on carsales..... Wondering what the advice would be from anyone here (particularly Australians) in terms of pricing.
Seems to me that the cheapest 2008/2009 c63 are around $80k however from what I can tell not a lot of these are selling....
What do you guys reckon the cheapest I could pick one up for would be, reckon I could get one for $60k?
Reckon the CLA45 AMG and A45 will push prices down?
Love anyone's advice, I reckon I could handle $60k for a good quality car but $80k too much.
Thanks
J

There is no way you will get one for 60k unless it has 200000kms
Maybe 75 but not 60
A45 will not push prices down
Once the c63 gets to 70 k it won't move from there for a while
E55s are still going for 55 or 60 and there 10 yrs old

Sorry mate but you will need to find another car for that price.
You will be lucky to find a C63 under $75k anytime soon.
CLA and A are a different class car, they will not affect the price.

2010 C63
Shopped the Melbourne market at length earlier this year.
Private sales going under $90K were generally pretty ordinary (I was looking 09/10) - poor paint, scrapes and scratches, shabby trim etc. The cheapies are probably not selling because they are rubbish - have you looked at them?
Pre mid 2010 has small risk of prospective head bolt issues - MB used warranty a nice comfort.
$60K = delusional thought process unless you are buying in a non Australian market.
In the end I stumped up the extra $$ and bought a good one.

Thanks guys - great advice, esp from GRP who has been there, awesome. Thanks for that.
Will keep looking around, I'd definitely rather pay a bit extra for a good quality one, as I'm sure you all would too.

Pretty hard to guestimate a price...particularly if ya look at carsales.....prices are all over the place.
The old addage applies....ya get what ya pay for.

MY12 C63 P/P
Hi Jimmy,
I just went through the same process myself but I was looking at an MY12 (facelift) model onwards.
I'm not sure if I'll be of any help to you but am happy to chat on PM if you have any questions.
Cheers,

I bought mine used just on a year ago. Cheapest at the time was 90k but they were relatively high km. I didn't even look at them. Most low km 08/09 models were going for around $110k.
Soon after I bought mine, prices dropped to about $90k for decent examples which is where they are still at. There is a repaired repairable write off on car sales for under $80 with low kms.

If you need another car, get a cheaper run around.
I am really on edge, as I want to charge mine but I havent convinced myself yet.
The car is going in for some more work early next week, so ill talk to the guys at Ramspeed and see what they can do.

hi jimmy123
i bought from MB dealer to get MB AUSTRALIA 2 year warranty paid a bit more than a private sale but have 2 years peace of mind it has already saved me $2000 for i repair, also all warrantys are not equal read what is covered & for how much. i hope you find the right car.
