I didn't see any kids. Or any other people in the parking lot. That said, still not something I would have done with other parked cars around.

drifting in circles doesn't require much skill. get out to a track event or even auto cross and demonstrate skills there, if you have any.
drifting around parked cars in a lot that's open to the public is reckless. if i was walking through with my 3 year old i'd be the first one to send the video to the local PD.

Plus, kids aren't worth much points since they can't get out of the way fast enough.

Whatever the OP says / claims , that is is "public " parking lot. Even if you own all those shops is the background, it is still a "public" parking lot.
Yes there were no children.
Yes going around/drifting in circles in a 500hp undertired RWD car is no biggie.
