Is this the Nov. 16th event?
I will bring the R8 up and run with you if thats the event?
Its a mid 11 second car but still fun.
Very few actual racers that I see. Not sure if people are moving on to other platforms or what?
I only moved to the R8 because I spent four years building my last C63 and I wasn't going through that again. Otherwise, these are very fun cars to race so I'm not sure why things are quiet.

I'm still at the track every few weekends, won't be setting records in 3500 DA though..
There is a track that's at sea level 12 hrs away in Mission BC, I may hit it up next season.

Let me know if you are going. Thats local for several of us as its only an hour from Vancouver. Vancouver has one C63 for every 6.3 people here.
Ill bring a bbq and a cooler so you can travel light and have some hometown support. I really wanted to run this summer but the car was in the shop for 7 weeks. If you can give me some pointers Id run with ya, and guarantee you'll look fast in comparison!

You're still alive!!! Nothing has really changed. Not many racers left. I guess I'm finally back in the game. I have a new setup that I will be testing soon and then redoing some stuff before November rental
Nice mph but the et isn't very impressive. Hopefully see you at MIR next month
Can't wait to see your R8!!!

Ill head out next season, probably spring or fall when it's cool. We can do a mbworld meet and some racing.

took the car to pocono earlier in the summer, i was too late signing up to get to the Glenn last month but i am signed for NJMP end of oct. i have a 2009 so have to suffer the crappy gearbox at the track, but still a blast to drive.

Spent Saturday at a curvy track. Motorsports Ranch in Cresson TX. I was passing Ferrari's and Audi's and Jaguar's all day long. I never caught up to any of the other C63's out there - and they never caught up to me either. It was a good day.

In my honest opinion, I feel a mid 11 to low 12 secnod car is the sweet spot for a fun street car. Plenty of power to play, without being downright scary.
I just came out of a 10 second 700rwhp Supercharged SRT8 and honestly, just my personal opinion here, but it's all overated. Yup, just said that.
Sure I could take 99.99% of anything on the road in a street race, most of which start around 50mph here in the Tri-State area and end (if your not a nut job and want your license taken away) at 110mph. But after a while, that short burst of power on the highway gets old real quick. You get used to it. And for me, after all my hard earned cash was poured into that thing, I felt a bit of 'buyers remorse'.
I've grown to appreciate that the most fun car for me has to strike a great BALANCE between power, handing and weight.
I've never been to the twisty tracks before but I can image some sticky tires and a day at the track is the ultimate expression of fun for a driving enthusiast.

There was plenty of passin going on that day, though I doubt we'll ever see the Ferrari guys publish theirs, because it would be unheard of for two Ferrari's to get passed at the same time by a lowly C63. Guess I'll have to take care of that

Earl still has his CLK but has been working too much to run it much. He just picked up a new E63 S 4-matic that he has big plans for. I think Earl might be trying to make MIR as well with his CLK but not positive. he and I were supposed to meet up last week in vegas for dinner but he had a last minute change of plans and didn't make it.

Nice. Turbo setup has huge potential to make a monster.
No plans for the SLS right? Please don't. The tune is enough.
