P31 vs 507 vs BlackSeries dyno in the Bay Area

So, I'd like to dyno my stock P31 to get a baseline before I start installing the various mods I've been waiting on.

That got me thinking that perhaps someone with a stock 507 Edition, and a stock Black Series would be interested in dynoing on the same day, and getting a real world side by side comparison of how these cars actually stack up against each other. There seems to be a lot of unconfirmed speculation regarding that topic. (Myself, I'm convinced that all 3 will actually dyno VERY similar to each other).

Anyone interested?

A stock C63 Black Series and a stock 507 will have the same exact HP output on a dyno. They both make 507hp at the crank from the factory, hench the name "507"

franknesss can be talked into a baseline before he throws on his exhaust. I'll see if my friend can bring out his dad's Black Series. Mini-meet at Dynospotracing?

I think that the BS and Black will be similar but the P31 will be less, but who knows much less. There are always variances especially with hand built motors. Someone may have an unusually strong P31, likewise for a 507 or BS.

How soon do you think we make this happen? I have an Agency Power exhaust on it's way (should arrive tomorrow). So I'd like to do this sooner than later so that I can slap the new exhaust on

If you want a non P31 car with just a toon, I might join in. I know someone who owns a dyno as well in Hayward.

Let's not get "OFF TOPIC" here guys.
We're talking "STANDARD" cars....P31,507, B.S.....Just those three. Many are saying that AMG are "fudging" the figures.....well, this is the ONLY way to find out,.....put the 3 STANDARD cars on the same dyno,on the same day, & see what these 3 "STANDARD" cars will do.
Nothing to do with "TUNES" at all....the question is, is there any difference between these 3 standard cars, & if there is a difference,...what is it?
Cheers, Pickles.
There will be a lot pf people interested.

This. That being said, no reason why other people can't join us whatever day this ends up happening to dyno their cars as well I just want at least a side by side dyno graph of those 3 stock forms of the car.

i hear ya. but there's no harm in throwing in a tuned C63 in the mix. well, I guess I will have to start a new thread to see if any P31 is interested in dyno'ing the same day.

Ease up... The point of this is to compare those 3 cars in stock form. If other people want to also dyno their cars that day, go for it; I don't really care one way or the other.

That said, still looking for a volunteer with a 507 edition and a stock Black Series. Come on people!

Dyno Charts for the debate

All,

Dyno Charts for a C63 AMG non black series '12

The charts follow a progression from stock to present. All on Sunoco GT + Fuel

I can't post the same charts twice according to MBW, however you can find the graphs in my other post in the headers section.

I can talk to Neoprufrok and see if he could bring his BS. I'm not sure if he has a tune on it or not.

Thanks Ktabor, found the charts although, i believe the stock standard C63 is rated at 450HP from the factory? that would imply the drivetrain losses of 20% rather than 25%, based on your posted baseline (360/450=0.8). Incidentally, P31 is rated at 480HP and Edition 507 at 507HP. Hence i think it would be great to get them all on the same dyno and also see whether we could deduct some consistent drivetrain loss factor.
