Your car must be equipped with the AMG Performance Media option. Press the "AMG" button, then highlight "Race" on the screen - you'll then have the HP/tq throttle and brake percentages on screen.

Has anyone determined if this is just a software thing that can be activated after the fact, or is this another bevy of sensors etc. that must be factory installed for this to work?

My previous SRT8 gave you a screen read-out of the HP/TQ.

I looked at it once or twice...

Dont get hung up on this rather stupid gadget.

It's actually under Data, which has Temps, HP/Throttle/Brake, and Tire Temps as the 3 screens to choose from.

Under Race, there's the G-Meter, Track Lap Meter mode, and 0-60/1/4 mile run mode.

Thanks Rage2.

mdgrwl - Sure the HP/Tq gauges aren't quite all that useful, but there is plenty of other items within the AMG Performance Media that are very cool. The lap/split times (also displayed on the center speedo) while on tracks with full GPS logging for instance. There's also oil, water and trans temps and as Rage2 pointed out there are tire temps/pressures, G-meter, 0-60 and 1/4 mile. I'd hardly call it a stupid gadget.

I agree those other displays can be fun / useful. The OP seems to have all them, but is searching for the HP/TQ screen and might even spend money to get it ?? I'm just stating that specific screen is stupid (and I doubt even accurate - on my SRT8, though I was supercharged/426 Stroker and pushing 800bhp, it still said the car's OEM HP... I'm sure its the same with the AMG) - and I'm advising him not to get bent out of shape if he doesn't have it.

I think the temps are cool to monitor and the time slips are just fun.

C63 AMG Edition 507 Coupe
we don't get this option in Australia. f#ck. anyway, i wonder if it allows you to upload more racetrack profiles, a la sat nav maps. Or how about if it allowed you to map your favourite section of the road (er, so you can check how quickly you can cover it within the allowable speed limits, of course).
