Hi all, I've been hanging around reading all the good info here for a little while now. I thought maybe now was a good time to make a post and maybe someone here can give me a little insight.

I ordered a C63 (non 507) 3 weeks ago. I know it will take a few months usually to get it. But I checked with my dealer and he still shows the order as "not reviewed". He says it will stay in that state until they get a slot and the regional person will look at it and put it in the build slot. Or something like that. He also says there is a shortage of C63. But I thought that was only 507 editions?
So my question is. Does this seem normal? To have no visible status change for 3 weeks? I was hoping to get this before the new year. Should I try to look elsewhere and maybe get one that's "close enough" to what I ordered? I have looked and found a few possible options.

Thanks for any thoughts on this. And I'm hopeful I can be a member and owner soon.

Don't hang out in the waiting to get an allocation in no-man's-land. Search other dealers for one. I speak from experience in waiting is a bad call.

I placed an order a few months back for a 507 via a auto broker. I have known him for for over 15 years and we have bought and sold a few cars over that time.
I asked him the status of the car 2 weeks ago and he said that the sedan was a no go. He then tried to order a coupe and the dealers and MBNA both said that they will not be able to take new orders until the end of the year due to the M156 shortage at the Bremen plant.
I have no idea if this is completely true (not sure if it applies to non 507's) but I immediately went shopping for 507's on lots across the country for a coupe or sedan with 051 designo Magno Platinum (Matte Finish) exterior and LSD etc. Found a car in Florida last week.... it will be on its way to Los Angeles soon.
I suggest looking as close to "home" as you can ( there are quite a few non-p61's out there for sale on lots). Gluck PkB2014!!

No problem, glad you have one on the way. I'm so fed up with this process dealing with my order that I'm about to go buy a RS5 off the Audi dealer's lot. If there were any C63s local to me I would just buy one in stock. The lack of info and frustration of being in the dark is getting old.

RS5 is nice. I test drove one when I was first starting to look, but the wife wanted 4 doors. I wanted a great monster sleeper car so C63 seemed like the perfect car for us. I can't even find one near me to test drive so I just ordered it. I guess I'll make some calls around the country to see about availability.

Short update:

After looking around I found one close to what I ordered. Only additional option was LSD and I was debating whether I should've gotten it anyway so I'm cool with having it. It's being shipped across the country basically, but it should be here this weekend. Now I remember what it was like as a kid when I knew Christmas was coming.

Very cool and good call - was in same boat, scrambled to get one and just picked it up last Friday...LSD was a good call on this car.

Wait!!! I thought you ended up with a coupe? Is that not correct? I really feel for you if that's not the case. You had been so diligent and started looking elsewhere. I thought that you had landed one.
