Any Hand Gun Enthusiasts / Collectors Among Us?
I just "pulled the trigger" on a Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry ii. I absolutely love the gun design, but have yet to shoot one. In essence I just bought a gun sight unseen out of state from a reputable shop and can not wait for it to come in! It is a bi-tone with wood grips and crimson trace sight. (NIB)
Anyone on here shot one before?

I have. It's a nice little gun with plenty of stopping power. In my opinion, the .45 they make(looks basically the same) is way too much and has a big kick for a handgun.
The trigger pull is nice and balanced and you could definitely shoot it all day at the range without getting tired. The barrel is a little too short for my taste, but an excellent concealed.

I have the crimson carry custom (the 5") and I like it a lot. I also have the Kimber Super Carry Pro HD and that has become my daily carry. It is heavy since it is all steel frame compared to the Crimson that is aluminum frame, but that weight (at least for me) translates into a much more stable shot. Kimber guns have always treated me well and have always been very well made. Enjoy!

I have a Springfield XDs 45 acp as well and love to shoot that! It is a really fun and surprisingly stable shot as light as it is.

I own the Eclipse Target Custom II - Love it. Very "sturdy" and with night sights. Almost too "pretty" to shoot
I'm an average sized guy at 70" tall, and it fits comfortably in my hand. I also have an H&K USP 9mm compact. By the look of it, it doesn't "appear" to be a compact, but it's a great pistol, and very different than the 1911. I don't know if I'd carry a 1911 around every day, a bit heavy, but they are certainly work-horses!

-Springfield XDs .45 ACP (for concealed carry and road trips, my personal favorite)
-Glock 21 .45 ACP (nightstand gun)
-Glock 19 9mm (wife's gun I got her for Christmas...put it inside of a Coach purse I got her to make it a less boring gift)
-DPMS AR-15, our squadron did a commemorative military buy with laser engraving on it, 4 rail floating barrel, 20 inch barrel, removable sight rail, retractable stock.
For self-defense ammo I use 230 gr Speer Gold Dot jacketed hollow points. The G21 has a talon grip that is basically like skateboard tape and the G19 and XDs have the rubber versions. All three have Trijicon sights. The grips make a huge difference, especially when it's hot and my hands get a little sweaty. Have fun with your new gun and be safe!

Interesting, that I do not remember. I guess I am recalling the length of the barrel with caliber, for some reason. I don't own one, it was at the range, and it was a long time ago. (I left with a Glock 23). I shot a VERY short-barreled gun. In my memory, it was a 9mm or .38. Then, what even GREATER stopping power in a nice concealer and easy to shoot gun!!!

Was yours part of the recall by Springfield?

I never chamber a round holding the weapon in such a way that the trigger would not be reset before the slide goes forward. It seems like you have to MAKE the gun unsafe.

Gen4 G19 is my EDC. Carry it in a Raven Phantom kydex holster.
Accurate, soft-shooting, and reliable.

I have a Kimber stainless steel target 2, here in Aus control is very tight so I can only use it for club activities. I am going to order a Wilson Combat CQB in the next few weeks. I have my club support so just need the Police approval........

Guns and cars go hand-in-hand. I wonder when SA will release the XDs again after the recall?
Isn't there a Mercedes Gun Owner thread somewhere here on MBW?
