Forgestar - Boycotting them for life!
Forgestar and the Dealer are working on a solution.
Okay so after hearing the reason as to why my replacement wheel isn't here yet as well as why Forgestar wheels take so long for some of us I feel really bad about bashing the company. I was really happy with the look, quality, and price point of the CF10s when they were on my car. I should have a raw replacement wheel in a reasonable time considering the communication issues that took place.

eh, I've been through worse.
how about dealing with a 3 piece wheel company called ISS Forged and have the face of your wheel out of round (the bolt pattern was off ever so slightly) and the wheel vibrated violently.
I sent the wheel in to them and they refused to take care of it, blaming everything under the sun and not taking responsibility for it.
long ETA's and delays I could deal with - but an outright refusal to take care of a problem on a brand new set of wheels is worse

I picked up a set of F14's from a board member at a really good price. The wheels are flow formed and of good quality in my opinion. However, service when trying to order accessories was an issue. I've herd the horror stories on delivery times. I was lucky to find my set here. I just hope I wont need a replacement wheel anytime soon.

Sorry to hear about your situation...thats ridiculous! I dont understand why these wheels take so long....they arent anything special! They need to get their sh*t together.

I agree... I'm not the type of person that has the patience of waiting 6-8 weeks for wheels. Around Spring time, my taste in wheels starts going up and then by the time you order it, half of summer is already over. They've lost my business in dealing with them. If I ever pick up a set, it'll probably be second hand, but then again I'm also worried about how long it will take to get a replacement wheel in the event something happens to one of mine.

Forgestar sucks big time, the lead time is caused by the slow boat from China not the powdercoater bs excuses.

Meh, Forgestar is just fine for the price. They likely don't have their **** together but seems like very few wheel companies do; their delays are certainly unreasonable but I don't understand why anyone would expect service/shipping similar to Amazon. Your experience also likely depends on the vendor too, I got my set in 3 weeks with no issues whatsoever. I don't expect the same level of service from a company like HRE but at $1500 for 4 wheels I'm not complaining.
The horror stories from dudes that spend $6-8k on ADV.1s or whatever other 'custom forged' garbage is much more concerning IMO...

Quality control determines how well wheels, as well as everything else under the sun, are made. Quality is not determined by where it is made. For example, the CBS oem wheels are milled in Taiwan.

What do you mean by overprice? I think it's quite cheap
Yeah could be bad luck. So when are you posting your pictures? I want to see your car modded!lol!
I got mine from a member too. So i was not affected by the delay some of you are experiencing. Hopefully my set will last.
I'm not complaining either. That price is a good one. Like they say you get what you've paid for. But for sure some delays are unacceptable!
OP, i hope you'll get your replacement wheel soon. You won't have any problem selling them if you really decide to go with a new brand. GL

The delay is a bit absurd, and I had to wait quite a while for my wheels, but they're less than $2k... so I can deal with that. I'm quite happy with my wheels personally. Just go into it expecting that it's gonna be closer to 10-13 weeks, and it won't be an issue.

I was told 3 weeks and it ended up being 3 months. If I'd been told 3 months I would have been fine with it. I ended up pissed because the delivery date keep changing and every time I called they were shipping that weekend or monday. I got my wheels through ACG. I'd call James and he'd call the "factory". The factory would say what ever they wanted regardless of the reality. Real poor business practices. BUT, I love the wheels now that I have them. I wouldn't put them on a show car but they're perfect for track wheels. I don't hold ASG responsible, they treated me well. The moral of the story is to buy them used and you'll be happier.

I think the point here is that customers of any business do not care if they have to wait a little longer or if they pay a little more, it is the customer service that matters.
I am sure if Forgestar said - The wheels will take 3 months to make and deliver because we manufacture in China and ship via sea freight, hence why we can be so cheap, but hey if you would like then sooner we can charge you for air freight and you can get them sooner - then noone will have an issue with that, i actually bet that their sales will go up.
I run a business that deals with retail and business customers, the staff know that i like the no bullsh*t approach to dealing with customers, if there is a delay then pick up the phone and call, if there is a problem, let them know, be honest in the beginning and dont lie just to win a sale.
Word of mouth is the best form of advertising, and they say that 80% of people would trust the opinion of someone they know over anything they read or any advertising.....so Forgestar needs to do alot of advertising to make up for the lost sales they had from this one thread.

A 13-15 week wait time is unacceptable. For God sake (for example) by comparison Boeing delivers upwards of (42) 737's in a month! We're talking about manufacturing one wheel!? Totally feel your pain. A good way to lose business.

But I get where you're coming from...Mine were apprently shipped Friday so we'll see

If you have to wait 10-16 weeks for a set of cast wheels, can you imagine the after-purchase support?
This is why BBS / HRE / Work / Advan / Rays are the only wheel brands I purchase. To me the rest of the wheel manufacturers are only pretending to be high end manufacturers. Heck a lot of these new wheel companies are here today and gone tomorrow. Exemplar case is 360 Forged.
I hate to think that many people spend in upwards of 5-8K on a set of wheels from manufacturers without any type of TUV rating or ISO rating. Now I'm not here to tell people how to spend there money. But if I were to spend that kind of money on a set of wheels. You better be sure I want nothing less.

I have CF10s on order.
The horror stories re delays with Forgestar made me wonder about ordering from them. Vividracing made enquiries and came back with no 19 x 10 blanks in stock. Once Forgestar advised they had blanks for all wheels in stock I proceeded with an order - time will tell if the 6 - 8 week estimate is accurate.
