Rear ended someone
Sucks ***....wasn't even going fast...was in a turn lane going to stop and skid into the back of a SUV at maybe <15 km an hour..tried to put my car into a wall instead of hitting her which is why the damage is on the passenger side..(Insurance went up 1.5k because of this)...I need a new hood/grille/bumper thats for sure...atleast they aren't writting it off

Use an MB authorized repair center. Mine looks good as new.

you aquaplaned at 9 mph?
most tables list the minimum speed at 53 mph and with a car of our weight and tire size closer to 65 mph
the braking distance at 9 mph is ~ 5' on wet asphalt or wet concrete
aquaplaning implies you were on the throttle, on power, traveling fast and 'skimming'
skidding implies you were braking, off power

Be real nice to the shop and ask for a bottle of touch up paint. Mine also did a great job recreating my blacked out grill. They gave me touch ups for both colors...

why is it so hard for people to say they messed up, they made a mistake and own it
too fast, too close for conditions
distracted, momentary lapse of consciousness
whatever
it's always some outside influence beyond their control, never their fault
but bear in mind 100's of 1000's of others did NOT rear end people that day in your town
I screw up regularly, luckliy I execute correctly a much higher percentage of the time

and you don't have to be 'speeding', mistakes happen at low speed, as you proved...it was an accident for him, neglect for you
if you are within 2 seconds of someone and they lock their brakes up you will likely hit them
remember, YOU HIT HIM, he did not hit you
it is your responsibility to have control of your vehicle no matter what is ghappening in front of you
it is your fault, period
learn from it, you got off easy, no one was hurt...unless they claim whiplash
how do you know your insurance went up so soon?
and why? if not your fault why did they raise it?

no not saying they failed at all just saying the light came on after it happen..not before...infact after i dyno the car my ABS light comes on (ESP-OFF light came on once too) (and it isnt in dyno mode) every time and i've dyno'd it a few times now
insurance went up because i phoned them litterly 15 minutes after it happen to report it as a claim and the lady told me over the phone, then i took it to the body shop they recommended to have a adjuster or whatever their called to look at it and like you said either way its my fault..it doesnt matter if a tire blew out...its still my fault seeing i'm the driver of the car..just because i skid and got unlucky doesn't mean it isn't my fault...maybe i should have slowed down sooner or something..who knows...in my eyes i was driving like anyone else would going into a left turn lane..slowing down and getting ready to turn...and as you can see i hit on the passenger side (her driver side) so it isn't like i wasn't paying attention because i tried to avoid it

It's easy to judge the OP and his situation when none of us were there. Good luck with fixing the car, hopefully you'll be driving it again soon.
Moral of the story: don't drive on bald tires, it just adds another potentially hazardous variable.

I got a new bumper and I feel like it get road debris pits easier than the first one. While the paint was a perfect match, is a locally painted bumper not as hard as the original oem finish?

I don't see how that's anywhere near 10k in damage.. My wife's 12' C300 diamond white got hit in a parking lot(needs new headlight, front bumper, drl, quater panel) quoted at $3500. unless c63 parts are triple the cost
