Secondary Cat -- X Pipe Question!
From a thread I read a little while ago, some guy mentioned that his X pipe actually smoothed/quieted the sound of the c63 and made it lose a bit of that growl... but in return refined the sound coming out of the exhaust. Why is this? Thanks in advance!

Smooth blending of the exhaust pulses from each bank of the engine. Refines the exhaust sound and makes it sound a bit more high revving and exotic and I believe improves low end torque a bit. The OEM sound is a bit more rough, ready and angry sounding and sometimes sounds like the engine has a miss.

I personally like the straight better but I am biased. I got rid of both cats and res with straights and I love it! Loud when you floor it and a nice rumble when driving in comfort.
