Be advised, you will only have about four (4) chances to change back and forth, as the hard drive will lock in the last Region (1 or 2) at the end of your chances. But that only matters if you are trying to use Region 1 later, like NTSC DVDs.

If your car is a US model, you may also need to change your system from Region 1 to Region 2, so it will read the Region 2 DVD for the Middle East when you upload the map data. You will have a menu option to select Region 2 when you start the process.
