Disc rotor difference?
Just fitted a set of Giro disc rotors, F&R to the 63, courtesy of Tal at ACG.
Read all of the hype but.........the car really does feel better, turn in, acceleration off the line not to mention braking performance with the Endless MX 72 pads!
I honestly took any improvements with a pinch of salt but no more, it is measurable from the drivers seat.......I am really impressed! Richo

I assume you are talking about 2-peice rotors? They are significantly lighter than a solid 1-peice rotor. Any time you can reduce rotating mass the gains are big, sometimes significant. So significant that very lightweight rotors will usually show a couple HP gain on a dyno as well. Obviously they are not making more hp, they are simply freeing up hp tied up in driveline loss.
Enjoy your new rotors!

Any more details on this mod? Along the lines of the actual weights of the rotors etc compared to stock? Reducing unsprung weight is one of the best mods you can make...
Are these 2 piece, floating?
Any noise increase? Not in brake application but the rotors themselves - floating rotors are usually a little on the noisy side.
Thanks -

All the info is here - https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...otors-c63.html
If you have the P31 (OEM 2 piece) rotors the weight saving is a little less than the standand 1 piece rotors. 26lbs vs 40lbs.
They are a direct replacement and a great piece of kit. No noise and great stopping power.
They come in 2 options, drilled, and drilled and slotted. Not sure which one the OP got.

Yes, this is not about additional horsepower but a reduction of rotational inertia and unsprung weight, to be honest I was really surprised at the improvement. The whole set up is OEM quality, zero noise, I mean zero! Brake dust seems non existent at the moment (obviously it is there as the pads wear but is not evident). The difference in weight is about 14 pounds per side (front axle) can't give exact figures but it is about that.
James and Tal were great help putting up with all my queries, I can't thank them enough.
