Value before and after BS kit ?
I'm thinking to do BS kit on my sedan..
You guys think if it will bring the value of the car up a lil bit when I sell the car couple years later...or it will bring the value down as its not original or whatever...
i don't want to invest in like 5 to 7 grant and then throw out window for nothing.

IMO it will bring none to the value of your car. Like any aftermarket parts you add to it. Unless you find a passionate and knowledgeable guy about C63s.
If you do a conversion and i would recommend you to use OEM parts do it for yourself not for a hypothetical buyer. Do it if you think you will keep the car long enough to enjoy the kit.
Basically don't think the BS kit will help you sell your car at the price of a BS

Likewise, any money spent is not an investment in any way at all. As long as you are ok with not recouping a cent of the cost and possibly lowering the resale value of your car down the road then go for it.

If we say yes, will that help push you over the line in doing this awesome conversion? A conversion that will yield hrs upon hrs of admiration everytime you see your car... and the constant rubber necking of ppl passing by hoping for a longer glance. If we say yes, will you pursue this fantastic project only a handful of our members here are brave enough to do so? follow in the foot steps of MBWorld legends like Dads63? or Craiger that did a full oem BS kit?... be truly unique in a group of already pretty uncommon cars?
if so, then I will say Yes. in the eyes of the right buyer, you will be able to get some additional value from this car after the BS kit.

If you do it, use a reputable shop and photo-document the work like crazy. Because if people think it was done right, they may give you a little credit (because a widebody C63 is so cool that a lot of people would love to have it), but if they suspect sketchy workmanship, then value goes down and the car could be pretty illiquid. Just my $0.02.

thank you
i live close Dad 63 (30mins)
he recommend me a shop that he done his car..so I feel confidence about workmanship...
just waiting on the parts...i think I'm gonna do it..then wrap it..instead repaint the whole car...
There are some members doing it right now...
Andrew logs...
I agree, I'm leaning between add up lips and hood... vs BS kit..everytime i look at BS kit on sedan..its so tempting that i can't resist myself....
I will get everything order and start a new thread..

I've read on another thread that this upgrade would run close to a 20-30k in parts provided you do all OEM. Is this what you got quoted with all parts?

5-7 grand? I was always under the impression we were talking numbers in the 20 grand range for these types of conversions. I have seen the full bs kit alone for like 9 grand no labor for install.

I understand wanting to convert. Having said that, I would not buy a pre-converted car by a previous owner, not for more cash, not for less cash. I prefer stock vehicles, this way I know it is all factory.
Just my .02.
Having said that, I am excited to read about this if you do it.

The kits I'm order is after market just like oem parts...they are from CZECH REPUBLIC..like SGA.
total kits only 3500$
if anyone interesting, i can setup group buy and make the price cheaper.

imo... if you are going to spend $$ on wrapping it, might as well spend $$ on painting it. Wraps are really nice dont get me wrong. but nothing beats paint

I think OP needs to really figure out the math before committing to such a large project.
$3500 in parts, and he's expecting total cost at 5-7k, which leaves $1500-3500 in:
1. Labour / Install
2. Additional parts such as wheel wells
3. Wheels, unless he wants to use OEM wheels sunken deep into the widebody fenders
4. Paint. Oh wait n/m he's not painting the kit.
5. Wrapping the whole car to avoid paint.
Not trying to be a dick here, but there's a huge gap in what you think it'll cost, and what it will cost in the end to get it done. And not painting the kit and wrapping over it? Yea, your car will be worthless on resale when you sell it down the road. It'll be a nightmare to fix all that after the fact.

If you refer to the value of a car by KellyBB or NADA criteria, after market mods add no value to the car. If you are referring to selling it to a private owner, it really comes down to if the buyer finds your mods valuable to them. Only then could you recuperate some money for the mods. But anybody that was interested in your mods wouldn't come out and admit it if they were savyy. This is the nature of negotiation. If they know the mods and the cost, they will still undercut what you paid for... and or not factor it in at all. I would. Consider it wasted money or enjoy the heck out of it while you have it. If you find that one person that is willing to pay for your mods, sell it.

It depends on the market and when you going to sell it. Once the new C63 is released the car will be old news. In my opinion the demand sweet spot has already past for the current version. It's not such a must have car anymore.
In terms of return on investment in my case it was well worth it as I can't stop looking at mine but if I do eventually want a new car I have the luxury of getting a replacement and stripping and caging the 63 creating a drag car that will give me pleasure over a long time.
For anyone seeing these non OEM kits for sale keep in my mind it's not a simple bolt on. Even the bumpers are just skins that require serious bracket work to be fitted in a safe manner. A search can be done on my build thread to get a good idea.
