Finally, a winter car (Non-MB content)
I know it isn't MB content, but it does keep my C garaged now which is a good thing And, I know this community is friendly to outside vehicles so I figured I'd just post it up because I'm excited.
Tomorrow I trade in my 1 series and am picking up an 07 RS4. I think it will compliment the C63 quite nicely especially for winter purposes. It does have 91k but a brand new clutch, whole motor was just cleaned (valve job etc) and runs like it is new. Inside and out is pretty awesome.
The C (first impressions at least) has it pretty much beat in all departments except for handling. But, I have yet to pick the car up so I really only have 1 drive under my belt in it while the dealer was there for the ride along. I'll rip into it, but all in all I'm very happy.
Here is an initial teaser. More to come

Would somebody please share with me a better looking 07 sedan, from the factory, than this one? There is none. Love this thing. Too bad we didn't get the euro seats but that's a small complaint.
APR just took one into the mid 10's but it was HEAVILY modded.

had one for 5 years and ~80k miles
damn fine machine
the engine is a jewel and it gets great mpg (especially compared to the C63)
only mods: spacers and H&R springs

That's a fantastic winter "beater." I've been interested in them for a while too. I'm still hoping they'll bring the new RS4 avant here. I think Audi is making a mistake excluding it from the NA market.

Great choice - and enjoy the ride! It's the most fun car for the winter bar none.
FWIW, the C has it beat even in the handling department (especially in the handling department come to think of it), but a simple rear sway bar change will do wonders for the handling on the B7. Drop me a PM if you want any more info.
Cheers,
D.

nice, enjoy it! i have 120k miles on my car now, had it since 53k miles and love it every day! once a year clean those intake valves for some hidden hp, i usually do it once every 20k miles. use motul oil 5w-40 x-cess, it helps with fuel dilution with these cars. I'm in long island, if you ever need anything regarding the car, lmi! looks good!

I am very jealous! That is truly the best of both worlds. I am currently in the process of trading in my C63 for an RS4. Please report back with your observations and differences between the two cars.

You'll love it dude. Just a word of advice from the RS crew. If your going to bang gears press and hold the traction control buttom for 10 seconds. Turns the traction off 100% so when banging gears, the throttle isn't delayed(I have a stage 4 clutch so if I leave traction on, and bang 1-2nd gear, my throttle will get limited for a second and make me look like I can't drive, so take it off and you'll be able to chirp 1-2nd gear like me

Still figuring it all out. First impressions are good. I figure as long as I stay on top of maintenance this car will treat me very well.
Looking forward to snowy parking lots for sure.

I'm still quite sure the C63 is the favored for me. Don't get me wrong, I love this rs4. However, I see myself favoring the C in the nice weather.

Do a few high rpm shifts once warned up to operating temps. (190) oil temps and tell me if the clutch pedal sticks to the floor. If so time for a new clutch lol. Our pressure plates are garbage. Lol
