Rear Tire Recommendations?

I just purchased an 09 c63 earlier this month. Car has 13k miles, front tires have significant tread. Rear tires are almost gone. Original tires on the car.

Any recommendations for rear tires? I do not track the car, drive the car to work during the week under 6 miles round trip. Maybe 20 miles altogether on the weekend.

Despite what the others have said, I boldly recommend PSS's! I just put another full set on last weekend and this time I went 10mm wider F & R. Feel free to try 265's in the rear.

Sorry for the small threadjack, but do you find an improvement (especially in the front) with the wider rubber? Many have posted in other threads about going wider in the rear, but the front is typically not commented on. Anyone with the best tire size for the oem 18's I'd be most interested.

Pardon the sidebar OP . . . I am on stock 18" wheels and suspension and it is too early to say what I think about the handling as we had crappy weather all week and I drove my Acura with the Pirelli All Seasons. I am still anxious to get some spirited driving in to gauge the feel of the wider PSS's. Perhaps I'll start a new thread tomorrow with pics and add to it whenever I get a chance to drive a little harder.

Another recommendation for the PSS.

However, I was impressed with the writeup (featured on this board) on the Toyo R888. Personally, I am considering those as well as replacements for the OEM Continental tires.

Any negatives that you've found thus far with the wider rubber on the front? (Rubbing, increased turning radius...?)

I'm still a Vredestein fan, at about 1/2 price of the Michelin PSS.

I like my shoes to match. Put on a pair of the P Zeros or whatever you have on the front now. Then listen to the PSS love festival here and swap out all 4 tires when your go through the rears again.

I'm in the same boat hahahha.

I'll be looking at running either PSS or Falken PT722 because i've run them before and quite enjoyed them. I like them because they are more quiet than the Michelin's. Road/Tyre noise annoys me, exhaust etc doesn't.

I'm running 235/35/19 fronts and 265/30/19 rears.

I wanted to go 275 rears but i think it'll rub because i'm on H&R's.

Springs or coils? I'm running 285s on coils and I get a little rubbing. More with a full boat.

Nope, no rubbing or change in turning radius experienced so far.

The local Discount Tire offered to match TireRack's prices (I paid sales tax but no shipping charges). 245/40/18 = $232 265/35/18 = $248

Go with the PSS for sure! I hear 275 is pretty much the biggest that doesn't rub. . . . however, there are some people running285s but not many that I know of. Good luck!

What did you pay for those? If you don't mind me asking.
