Prepaid Maintenance
I am finalizing my purchase for my c63c 507 and need some insight as if the prepaid maintenance is worth it on this car.
My current 2012 C300 I've done service A1, B1, and A2, and i'm pretty sure it cost me about 200-240 per service A and maybe around 450 for service B.
are these the costs for the C63 507 as well? what other service to this car will be needed in the first 36k miles.
They want to offer me 3 year 36,000 miles prepaid maintenance for $1,459.
thanks for the insight.

MBUSA recently removed pricing for maintenance from their website. When I purchased my car a month ago the build website said it was $999 for 3 years - 30k miles, regardless if I chose the 507 package or not, and it now says "pricing varies by dealer." I didn't get a 507, but I'm not sure why it would be $500 more than the "regular" C63. Eventually, I was able to get it thrown in for "free" on my deal, but only because of some other issues that came up and they wanted to appease me.

I got prepaid 5year for $1909 including 6% tax on my 507. I recall there was a large jump in price from 3 to 4 year and 5 wasn't much more than 4. While looking up how long my service was for and what I paid I realized the glove box has climate control.

It usually comes out to be more expensive in the end with prepaid if its being throw into your car payment as interest. Also depends on what the dealer charges. Keep in mind most of these packages dont include silly stuff like wipers - but they are starting to in some cases. They also dont pay the technicians crap which shouldnt matter in a perfect world... heres your basic break down, so compare prices
diff service at 2k 200$? (not sure on fluid cost)
10k a- service 300$
20k b-service 450$ +brake flush $150
30k a- service 300$
40k b-service 450$ + brake flush $150 + transervice $425 (maybe due at 60k on most newer cars not 40k)
50k a service 300$
60k b service 450$ + brake flush $150 + sparkplugs $600ish

I was offered a sort of prepaid plan the last time I brought in my car for my 80k service. They offered me $899 total for both that 80k and and my next one at 90k, which I think definitely worked out for me since the 80k service is one of the larger ones (~1k by itself).. so I guess you don't necessarily have to get it pre-purchase? Although this was the first and only time it was offered to me.
