I get a lot of compliments on a daily drive, and sometimes those compliments come from M3 owners. They love my plates I had numerous M3's M5's M6's and also 3.35is 650i etc try to race me. What are they trying to prove ? I had a truck ask me to race for cash ? I just wanted to see if you guys get similar attention on a daily basis. My question is mostly against racing, it gets old haha. But I was just wondering how it is for other drivers and states possibly, or even countries.

Just out of curiosity what are your license plates? What is the outcome when you race a m6, m5, or m3s?

His License plate is in his signature "BYBYEM3".
I'm pretty sure he doesn't race his car on the streets.

I haven't had any race challenges while in my car, but maybe because it's black.

The only time I got a compliment was a thumbs up on the freeway by an older gentlemen in a white E30 M3.

Yeah, I had like a 1998 Dodge Dakota try and race me. I usually just ignore them, but he was no incessant it really pissed me off. They just wanna see me go despite the fact we were on busy city streets with tons of traffic.

I've had plenty of other cars try and go at it....I've had some fun here and there. Not a lot of M3s though. Most of the M3s here are driven by people that drive lie grandmas...

I know this one guy who's younger brother had a 08 M5 with no limiter,exhaust, and ECu flash! His plates "amgeatr" Bless his soul he crashed and died. He was too young to handle that power.

I raced a comp E92 mine was stock idk about his but he had DCT put like 3 cars difference. Another M3 was a e46 comp which kept up with me and was manual he said it was stock but no way. Never raced M5 or M6. But by looking at just stats our cars are supposed to be faster. I had an M3 before and is no where close to the C63 power wise.

And yes I do not do street racing, but just like anyone of us I have gassed it here and there :vroom: I'm currently preping my C63 for track !

Hahaha nice! I live in LA and my plate says
M 3ATER. I have a 2013 p31 with a tune. I get a bunch of thumbs up and compliments when it's parked daily. It's always puts a smile on my face. But m3's, m5's, mustangs, and some other random cars always try to race me. I've only actually legitly raced 4 e9x m3's, 1 F10 m5, and some Pontiac Gto. Proud and truthfully say I have won every single time fairly

Hahaha I love these plates! Here in Virginia I've seen "LMAOBMW" "BMWLOL" "CUL8RM3" all on Mercedes and AMG models! And nice kill on the m3s & m5!!

The M5, even with it's size, is an absolute monster, most stock M5's will destroy even some tuned C63's, never mind stock ones.

In Houston usually only get bratty kids in Mustangs and Corvettes trying it on when they see the quad exhaust. M3 drivers always grin and show thumbs up, as I do to them (while downshifting). On that note I was welcomed into the M3 section of a recent Coffee and Cars meet. 15 M3's, 1 enemy in the ranks, classic. Good guys.

Living in Sacramento, CA I don't get much attention from my C63. I don't know if people don't know what it is or just plain don't care (I feel people in Sacramento are a bit passive when it comes to cars). But across the pond in San Francisco, that's a different story.

I did however had a run in with a SRT-10 truck (Viper engine I believe) try to have a go with me...I didn't even try. Anything with more cylinders or force induction I tend to 'steer' away from. Pun intended.

Edit: And the thing about less faster cars wanting to race? They all just want to see you haul a**...as someone stated above.

Late edit: Now I come to think of it, Cadillac CTS-V drivers often try, always pretty funny and usually they accelerate off (I don't) and nearly cause a wreck on the freeway. It's still a retiree's car body style and no revving or accelerating will change that.... LOL.

That's exactly it. For his graduation present he had asked his older brother and parents for 2009 M3, to his surprise they purchased him a brand new M5 instead. This brother was driving it one night we got together and man it sounded like a Ferrari or Lamborghini! We took it on I-95 and started booking, immediately speed were past 120mph and climbing at no problem! He didn't push it that far knowing his limit, even at 120 it was a stupid idea! But anyways back to this accident, it's a bridge that connects between Washington DC and Virginia. The media said he was going 110mph but I believe he was going 20-30mph more!! You play with fire you'll eventually get burnt!
