You know the C63 already. All you will have will be a new interior and some new bumpers . If you are happy with your actual C63 go for a facelift model.
The CLA45 is a new car slightly smaller, smaller engine, even tuned you won't get as much as the c63 tuned + headers IMO. You'll get more mpg for sure but soundwise i don't thin it will match the c63.
Having seen the CLA45 I would stick with the C63 but that is my own opinion. My recommendation would be to take the CLA45 for a spin and make your own judgement. GL

Stay with the C.
Working in an OEM manufacturer myself, I can tell you from experiencing both sides of the fence. Dont buy a first year anything, they will have problems.
No manufacturer can deploy a perfected product right off the bat.
They may get very close (if lucky) but there is no true substitute with simulated testing to represent real life volume production and durability.

I went through the same thing. I got the C63 (had a 2009 C63 before). The CLA is fun to drive. Lightning fast shifting, but not as nice as the C63, at least to me.

2013 C63 P31 Coupe (my 3rd C63!)
I drove a CLA 45 and 2014 C63 507 back to back and there was no chance for the CLA. I also was coming from a 2010 C63. Needless to say, I now own the 507.

I was in the exact same boat. I have a 10' E-63 and wanted to by my wife either a 12' C-63 or a new CLA. The CLA motor is not built at AMG and someone said it was a poor man's AMG. That is what turned me way off a CLA. She has a C63 now.

My point is that the odds are in your favor to buy something that is a known good/reliable product.
Its no secret that the C63 will out perform the CLA.
As far as reliability, Id put my money on a NA V8 to a boosted smaller engine especially its first year in production.
By the time a vehicle is actually produced and in the hands of consumers, the manufacturer has more often than not already planned deviations/improvements on the product for the following model years.
Prime example- Head bolt issue with first gen M156 engines. First year productions are always difficult. (you were a lucky one to not have issues with this)
Im sure the CLA45 is a great car, but i see it being better a year or two down the road.

Personally I would stick with the c63, i feel like a c63 owner would be somewhat disappointed going into a cla amg. Even though it is a very nice car and I don't doubt it will lift the hairs off your arm. I just think the c63 is already still so well known around the world for what it is, that why go with something else if you're already happy! If it ain't broke, don't fix it! But that's just my opinion! Good luck

I personally would recommend the C63, however you gotta drive the CLA and see how you like it. A friend of mine just switched from a C63 to CLA45, everytime we talk he keeps saying that he wished CLA45 would've been available couple years ago as he calls it the best car he's ever had.
However, I've driven the CLA45 and it AINT for me. Feels gutless at points, but the transmission is years ahead of what you get in the C63, but it still has the Benz-ism downshift issues in the name of reliability.

Sorry for the multiple posts. If you are looking for excellent power, good fuel economy and a nice fun drive. Get it and don't look back. If you don't like it you can always get the face lift new C63.

Good point.
The main reason for replacing the M156 is due to a federal mandate taking effect in the next few years.
Manufacturers selling vehicles in the US must avg 35.5MPG across their offered vehicles by 2016. This is the biggest factor pushing manufacturers into smaller boosted engines for efficiency, otherwise they will be spending tons of money buying credits from other more efficient manufacturers willing to sell them.
