C63 tuned only 121.5mph trap
Since I got the version 2 tune from OE I decided to test the car in the 1/4 mile. This was done on 0% with the Vbox. After a few test runs I ran a 12.9@121.5. Launching was not easy. First I feathered in 1st and right away I went into 2nd. Spun a little even in 2nd 45mph. The time is not good but impressed with the trap. No wonder I pull on other tuned C63s

FYI vbox trap speeds consistently read higher than trap speeds at the strip so you can't directly compare the 2 as well as having amazing DA now when the track is closed. Regardless it's a great trap speed tune only on vbox

This is not the first time using the vbox run doing 1/4 runs on the same road. Did runs when I had the ver 1 tune. Got 118-119 traps with better DA-colder temps. So the vbox runs are very close with 1/4 mile traps compare to the strip. Beside all car mags use them for testing new cars.

Drag strips use a "speed trap" average your speed over the last 66ft of the 1/4 mile (and 1/8 mile). Hence the term "trap speed". Actual speed at the very end of the 1/4 mile will be higher than the speed printed on the time slip, which is why in car timing devices typically show higher mph than you will get at an actual racetrack.

BTW my friend used his vbox at the dragstrip. Trap speeds are within 1mph with the actual time. I was just comparing the results from the last time when I had the old OE tune. Which gave me problems with CEL. The car definitely picked up few mph. Same road, temps were colder last time, same fuel, etc. Also few weeks back there was a kid with a c63 with OE tune. Ran him and pulled him.

I never used K&N. I use only OEM filters. The old tune I removed the charcoals-CEL issue. Put them back on and still CEL only when warmer or hot out. Now with the lastest tune with the stock filters and charcoals still in place no CEL. Car runs really strong why remove the charcoals. I guess I'm afraid of the CEL
