MBH Header/Xpipe interior noise
Can someone with a MBH Header/Xpipe setup tell me or make a video to show me the amount of interior noise I should expect with this setup? I'm aware that at full throttle, the setup will be loud. I'm trying to ascertain the amount of noise at normal cruising speeds. The reason I'm asking is that I'm expecting a newborn soon, and want to know if the noise is tolerable if I don't beat on the car.
Thanks in advance!

My car is at the dealer right now for some warranty work. I think I'm getting it back today. I will shoot a video so you can hear what it sounds like. When You are just cruising around at normal speeds you cant tell. When you get on it it comes alive.

Cruising at speed it's pretty unnoticeable.
Light to light traffic there is a good amount of noise but nothing obnoxious IMO.
Cold starts and revs it's downright nasty.
I personally think perfection are these headers couple with an Akrapovic rear section.....
And a Weistec blower....

I would wait until my new born gets older. Baby hears are not yet developed therefore any major noise will hurt them. Although the car seems to be quiet while cruising don't forget about cold starts every morning from your house. That is pretty loud!

Well said. I have a crappy video of the windows down slightly. Ignore my commentary I was flat out impressed with the car. That was literally the night I got everything finished and got the car back.

Thanks Johnny! That was very helpful It sounds so sinister at WOT! Do you have an Xpipe?
Thanks for the advice! I'll probably put the baby in the minivan until she gets older. I'm just worried about the droning and noise levels at cruising speeds with the windows up. I have heard a competing brands Long tube headers and it drones at 2-3k rpms. That's why I'm interested in the MBH setup with Xpipe. Forum members seem to rave about the sound it produces.

Catless mids and a catless xpipe. You could always have a 200 cell race cats put on the x-pipe and it would still net you good horsepower with a bit of the sound muffled. At WOT it nearly sounds the same.

Do you mind sharing the competing brand that is droning ?
I'm in the hunt of headers too.
Pm me if you prefer.

Did you get a chance to shoot a video of the interior noise with the windows up at cruising?

johnnyblaze sounds awesome. "Wake Up Call"...I think that would knock people out of bed..lol
I am Jeff while I don't have this setup, I do have a full iPE Exhaust (header back, no cats). The valvetronic mufflers might work well with the MBH Header/Xpipe. My car is actually quieter then stock while cruising around and at WOT.

It really is not loud at all, compared to my MHP headers I feel like I am in the library!! Of course when you are over 3500rpms it gets a little louder depending on throttle pressure. But the car is loud when you want it to be, no obnoxious sound in cabin at all.
I do really miss the sound of the MHP headers though.

Here is a video I shot today. Forgive the rattles, I have some steel tubing in my car for a project i'm working on.

ford svt's, and C63!!!
Mine has MHP headers, and it's not any different than stock, until you hit the loud pedal. So in short, "not loud at all, unless you want it to be" There was horrible interior noise, until I removed the aluminum cross brace that came in contact with the exhaust pipes up-stream of the resonator. Car is absolutely the same to me without the bar.

My car was extremely loud with headers because of the stock trumpets. I've heard a few people refer to them as that and it's probably the most appropriate description. They sounded terrible.
Supersprint mufflers are awesome.
