Mhp v2 long tube header review.
Finally got around to installing the newly revised MHP long tube 4 into 1 headers. Fit and finish is great, just like the last set I had.
The sealed collector is also a plus as some blower guys were having issues with the slip fit.
The new system seems to fit together a bit better and the built in X pipe is great.
The install time with two guys was just over 2 hours. I have some custom tools that make it easier however.
Compared to the old system, noise is down slightly on a cold start. I haven't had a chance for a drive but will update in the spring.
I'm thinking the larger collector will help a bit on the top end with the blower as well.
Overall I'm happy with them. I know some guys have had issues with mhp, but all my purchases have been positive thus far.

I won't get into it too much....but I wanted the highest quality product, with the best scavenging, and no risk of leaks or cracks....I also wanted this setup to be future proof for a supercharger.....
In short, MBH headers are pure art and quality. Look at pics of both and you can see the difference.

If its true I'm amazed what little it takes to get these cars to that kind of power. How about the torque figures?
I would only assume its possible to break 600HP all motor on these cars? Assuming full bolt on mods are installed?

merc63 figures are close
You get about the same ouput as a standard sls
i have 550hp with headers

i didnt check my torque figures i was more worried about my AF ratios asnd making sure they were safe
these figures are at the engine not at the wheels

I'm interested to see dyno figures, my number is almost the same (467whp = 560 hp "20%")
my setup, MBH LT + test pipes + aFe drop in filters + Weistic ECU tune
I'm interested in the LT with integrated x pipe, to remove the drone and for the extra ponies.

Tune + Headers = 570 HP? seems like a lot. 60 extra HP just from headers?

We used to have quite the drag racing crew... Now most have moved on to other things. There are a few of the original guys still floating around though.
I'll fix the cold start vid tomr.

Gotcha, I figured that many of the original members may have moved on by now.
I'm Interested in seeing what these cars can do with just bolt on's. If its possible to get near 500 WHP / 600 HP considering 20% drive train loss. That is amazing for an all motor car.
Aside from that, im especially interested in the tq numbers.

There was a couple old members., dads63 and dodger that were a touch over 600 with bolt ons. Mthis might be at 600 too.

Hey merc.
not at 600 yet or not on that dyno at least lol. Last dyno was 465 tune headers no x pipe. Now I have few more goodies done to gain few ponies. from bone stock my car did 365 so I gained a solid 100rw on same dyno.
Btw mhp headers and tune and filters i ran 11.19@125. For NA there are NO headers better then the v1 mhp headers
(Bone stock ran 12.1@115. No MCT)

The headers looks awesome. Always a fan of the one piece design myself. Anyhow, here are my numbers at the rear wheels before and after the install. All done on a Mustang Dyno.
319 stock
359 header back stock tune
456 iPE full exhaust with custom dyno tune
