Been reading, up on it and these kits seem pretty damn reliable.
I'm sure there are few SC owners who will chime in shortly.

They are very reliable, use the search feature and I do not think you will find a single thread with anyone reporting any major problems. I now run the stage 3 on all my cars and all my cars get tracked and driven hard and I have had zero problems. I ran the Wesitec 2.3L blower for a year or so, it is a solid and proven system, IMO you can't go wrong.
You might go through rear tires a bit quicker

There is no reason to go stage 1 instead of stage 2. However, it is much more involved to go from 2 to 3 so it really does make sense for a lot of people to stay at stage 2.
OP - surely with a 1300whp GTR you know how forums work. There are plenty of threads on Weistec and they are all positive.
You won't have any problems running stage 2. Just stick to what Weistec recommends and you'll be fine.
Have you even tried contacting them to get their input? For some reason I feel like they would know best, but I'm not sure...

I've heard that if you don't beat the **** our of it, the tranny should be OK? But I would strongly tend to agree, that it should be built. After all, we know we don't drive like grandma

LOL..... If you think about it, Stage 1 to stage 2 is an additional 4-6K easily.
I was speaking to Weistec (who are awesome guys by the way) and the need of a high flow exhaust system is a must for stage 2.
While I agree Stage 1 / 2 makes no diff in price from Weistec. The supporting mods to go along with Stage 2, will easily put the build over 20K.
I think for now I will work with full bolt ons, after that we will see about the SC.

Id say go with long tube headers, MBH or MHP and a tune from weistec because they will credit the tune against the blower when you are ready.. Drive it for a while like that till you get bored again then do the blower install. If you can do the work yourself, you will save some coin.

I can't tell you how reliable it is because I only picked up my car yesterday from getting a Stage 2 install, but if you are on the fence, just do it.
There are guys that have been running these kits for years with no issues, and damn the sound and performance is addictive. A FBO C63 seems so slow compared to this!

Yup you got it!
That's the plan, just waiting for the bumper-bumper warranty to end and I will start tinkering a bit more

stage 2 is great so far. I'd consider doing the valve body upgrade though, I feel like 3rd gear is hitting some sort of torque management whenever it's really cold out.
