my gains from stock to current
Stock = 13.6-13.7@102-103mph
tune= 13.2-13.3@106-108mph
headers+tune for the headers= 12.3@114-115mph
The headers are first gen MHP with no cats into stock resonator, sounds amazing. I was very reluctant paying 2000.00$ for a set of used headers, but looking at et's I shaved, it was a friggin bargain to say the least. Also have to give credit to Eurocharged for the initial tune, and header tune.
Note that I'm at 6400' elevation and limited to 91 octane gas in this area, so you guys closer to sea level would surely have an easy 11 second ride with the same parts.
Also, never even consider that your car will be too loud with headers, and no cats. Mine is completely un-noticeable at part throttle and on the highway, but if you hit the gas, all hell breaks loose in the noise dept, but you have complete control over it. Some people act like it'll sound like open headers just cruising and idling, but that's not the case at all for me.

Nice gains, and I completely agree on the headers - perfect and noisy when you want to be in S+ or M yet tame and not very noticeable over stock in C

I don't think a P31 would stand a chance, the car picked up over a second and a half over stock, I'm over a mile high in elevation. I'll race a stock P31 anyday of the week. And it can also wear drag radials too. Headers and tune cost me less than 3K.

Unless a stock p31 can run between an 11.3- 11.8?
I ran a 12.3 at 115 at 6500'

That's still an amazing time for a stock anything, now that you mention it, I'm not too sure I could muster a 11.9 at sea level with mine. Hard to say for sure without doing it. Any idea on the weight difference between a coupe and sedan by chance?

As for weight, I can only tell you what mine weighs which is 4130lbs with me in it. I'm 200 and have maybe 15lbs of helmet/supplies so 3915 would be my best estimate on a curb weight. That's starting the day with less than 1/4 tank of gas but not low enough to put the low fuel light.

Where are you running with an elevation of 6400'?
Or do you mean a DA of 6400'? If so that is a great DA for Bandimere(5800') or Dougas(4800')!!
You should try Julesburg. In cool weather, it can be a 1/2 second or faster than Bandimere.

This is the actual altitude her in Rock springs, Wyoming. Using a G-tech pro. The track I go visit in the summer-time is in Evanston, and the actual altitude there is above 7K, with a Da usually in the 9-10K range, track is called hypoxia, hahaha.

That is Loud my friend, can't bs you there. I don't know why the computer is programmed with such an aggressive throttle opening for cold starts, especially when I'm tuned for headers without cats? Maybe they haven't thought about tuning that out, but I personally don't like my motor revving up like that prior to having decent oil pressure. I understand heating the cats up quickly, but I don't have them, and should be tuned for it?

Don't know if it's the norm, I know a non P31 went around 12.2 at 115 at sea level. Both mine and the non P31 car were 100% stock, and mine was consistantly 117-118mph just launching on stock tires was tricky so my et's varied from 11.9-12.1 dependant on a successful launch or not.

I didn't even know Evanston had a track. You might even be able to see 11s in Douglas if you try there.

Wow, I haven't heard anybody mention Douglas for a while! If you've raced there, do you know Brian Leibee? He's a friend of mine that owns a machine shop here in Rock Springs, he's always knocking my little track in Evanston, and wanting me to go to Douglas, but it's actually further away from me than SLC Utah, lol.

I might try that sometime, What's the name of it, and do they have a web-site with a schedule. The track in Evanston is only an eighth mile track, but I've had tons of fun at that slow, slow track. people get decent 60'ers there, but that might be because of the lack of power with da's normally in the 9K' range, lol, but the starting line is very sticky imo.

I used my caliper to measure the single outlet on both stock manifolds, and it was only 2". Each primary of these headers is 1 7/8"!! so 4 cylinders on each bank was breathing through a single hole approximately the size of each cylinder's current primary tube diameter, I feel that has more to do with the gains rather than the cats, but I'm sure there's gains there as well.

Can't speak for others, but there's no emissions testing here in Wyoming. I'm guessing others simply bolt in a set of temp cats to pass the sniffer test, then remove them after testing, might be worth starting a thread over though?
