C63...NEW side emblem! Plus I need tire advice..

Hi guys, I'm brand new to the forum. But I didn't come to the party empty handed. Here are a couple pics of my 2013 c63 coupe. I know its dirty.

I wanted my c63 to look a bit special and unique. So check out what I replaced the 6.3 badges with. I think my V8 badge looks classier(plus it doesn't lie...6.2). What do you guys think? I got them used for 10 dollars! And they are metal, not cheap plastic...

Advice I need: I want to put 265 18 inch tires on my rear stock rims. I know they are supposed to be 255. Will it work? Does it fit? Has anyone done this? And if so, what brand should I get?

Thanks guys!

Not digging it. Now real enthusiast will know that your badge is not original

Did you replace the rear "C63" badge as well?

No, but the rear c63 isnt really a badge like the plastic side ones. Its made of the same material as my V8 emblem. If you look at all the higher end amgs, you'll notice that they use the same style that I do. For example, 'V8 biturbo' and for the older cl600, it says V12. I'm pretty surprised no one else besides me likes the change. And for the BS c63, the 6.3 is metal and doesnt have a line going across it. Much cleaner IMHO. And my V8 emblem is oem.

Now does anyone have info on 265 on STOCK rims?

your mom
You can keep your "high-end" looking V8 badge. I hope I don't have to see that abomination in person. Way to ruin the look.

But, you know what, your money - your car- you badge - your opinion - your (lack of) taste.
If you like it - all the power to you. I just hope my eyes are not affected by your "high-end" badge. lol.

Is that badge from Audi? Also many people have done 265s on stock rims. No problem. People like Michelin PSS and I love my Bridgestone SO4 PPs.

Ok. But Yes 265 will fit with no issues and PSS is a good tire.

S550 on order
I was running 275s on stock ..Michelin PSS's but my car ate those tires up in like 1500KM..the rubber started to fall apart and crumble..by then I already had new pirelli nero tires and said screw the PSS's and haven't looked back since..with the PSS's my car felt all over the place, felt like it was being blown around wind all the time..it feels way more planted with the P Neros

to be honest i have no idea how any of you guys run anything smaller then 265 on the rear...i have 285s currently and i barely touch the pedal and the tires break loose...not sure how everyone else gets traction?

I don't think the V8 Badge looks bad, the OP surely isn't lying by replacing the 6.3AMG badges with it.

Not sure why you guys dislike it so much. After decades of mod'ing cars I feel the best look is stock

Most cars with M156 use 6.3 AMG badge.

S63 Pre-Facelift fender badge

E63 Pre-facelift fender badge

SL63 Fender badge

CLK63 BS fender badge

Are these all "low-end" AMGs?

Yeah, I'm not feeling it, but if you like it that's really all that matters.

I admit the pics are bad. Blurry and dirty. But if it was a clean pic, and the emblems were shiny, it would look much better. Abomination? C'mon..its just a small little emblem. Is 'V8 biturbo' an abomination? Maybe it should say '5.5 amg///' instead?

Yeah the original badge looks decent too when shiny. I just want something unique looking. I wonder what the w205 side badge will look like.
