Fuel Economy C63/E63/ML63
Happy to report, over a 1000km trip (620 Miles), fuel consumption on 2010 C63 Estate, with 2 people and luggage was 10.4L/100km (22.6MPG)
Was *kinda* impressed. The car is stock on 18s. No Mods.
Weather was average 27 Deg C. (80 Deg F.)
I say *kinda* impressed, as my E63 (2007, 19s, Eurocharged Tune) did the same (10.4L/100km) over a 1000km trip too. But that had 3 adults & LOTS of luggage. + Heavier car.
Both times cruise control was used for the whole trip pretty much.
And ML63 2009, Average on 200km motorway trip, 12.5L/100km (18.8MPG). That has OE Tune, 22's, 2 occupants, no luggage.
Just a little FYI for you folk.

Unless hand calculated, that info is useless.
The trip computer is so far off. I did a 2000km trip this summer and burned a ton of fuel. The trip comp wasn't even close. If I listened to that thing I would have been stranded on the road.

The ML quote above, was however based off the trip computer. (have not done a long enough trip to do hand calc)
Though, i can verify, that when i did my calculations, and compared it to the trip computer in both the C63 and E63, that the trip computer was only .l's off (meaning it was quite accurate)
So, not such useless info afterall.

best i've seen is 21.3mpg in my c63 stage 2 weistec thats going about 60-65mph. kick it up to 80ish where i like to cruise and its about 19.5mpg . The new direct injected and turbo motor are way better on fuel - no gas guzzler tax when buying new in usa. I come from driving modded cars and trucks so im pleased with what i got. My previous slk55 would get 26mpg at 60-65 and 23mpg at 80. It's stupid the rear end gear is the same for the slk280/300/350/55. So the v8 was turning like 3400rpm at 80 totally pointless, probably could've gotten closer to 30mpg if geared properly because it's so light.

Tell me about it.
My friend bought a Holden Volt. Used no fuel (plug in ever night)
I am actually a little envious.
And the car design, is actually quite attractive.

ya no complaints for a big 6.2L v8 supercharged. It could do better if it had an 8th or 9th gear since it has gobs of torque. My supra makes about the same whp - 530ish but get about 27mpg since its just a baby 3.0L inline 6 and out of boost when cruising since the turbo is so big.

I was able to average 20.7 from Dallas to Kansas City. That included some stopping for gas, food and stop and go through several little towns. Not too bad I thought...
