feedback on transmission fluid change - tips?
I am taking my car to the dealership to get the tranny fluid service done. I am having them change the oil while they are at it.
Anything to look out for, suggest, or point out as it relates to any of these couple of things?
Dealership charges $ 440 for the tranny service and $ 100 for the oil change - is that within the "normal" range?
Thanks for the feedback!!

Yup. That's what my dealer charges also, and in keeping with what I've seen posted here. Just make sure your oil is drained from the bottom (both the pan and oil cooler). My dealer is very strict about that but it seems many dealers will extract from the top so that the oil cooler is not drained.

Wow your dealer is the best. My dealer wants $600 for transmission service and they don't just change the oil, they have to do Service A which is like $200 but always comes out to $300.

Well, they found a harness that was about melted...so that is going to cost me another $ 250-300 to fix/repair and based on the pics, it NEEDS to get fixed, so this may end up being close to the $ 1,000 by the time all is said and done...bleh! The joys of MB ownership...
