I have a couple of these retractable remote controlled license plate covers laying around in the garage. This is a perfect way to hide your license plate at car shows or just taking pictures of your car. Troy, my car is a 2010 but I updated the taillights to the new ones.

They work perfectly but throw a notification in the main screen saying the bulbs are out. Honestly it's one of my favorite things I have done the car.

They are not illegal, but that being said I don't recommend driving around town with it down.

I like to use it at car shows and when taking pictures mostly. I have heard horror stories of guys getting denied warranty work because their service adviser linked their car from their license plate to stuff the owner had posted on online.

Either way its a pretty cool gadget to have on your car.. its funny, even with everything I have done to my car everyone who sees the license plate drools over it more then anything else

Installation Instructions

1. Use screws that fit your specific car to fix the frames on both the front and/or rear license plate.

2. Pull the connector cables from the left or right hidden cable channels into the interior of the car.

3. Put the control box in a desirable location (ie.Under glove box.)

4. Then plug the power cord into the cigarette lighter plug.

5. If something is blocking the opening or closing of the shield, the indicator light flashes immediately. If this occurs, please check the mounting area.

Step 1: Install those plates
Step 2: Print a new licence plate on paper
Step 3: Stick the new licence plate on the black cover
Step 4: Enjoy!
