2010 c63 amg burning oil ?? any tips?

Hi bros,

as you know I got a 2010 c63. its my gf's dd.

ever since winter I parked it indoor and only take it out for boots on nice days. couple times dash showed check oil level.

this car has 87000km pp pkg. maint at dealer since new / star certified / extended warranty.

just got serviced few months ago. I went in to dealer yesterday to check oil and I was missing a good freaking 1.5L ....so I toped it up there quick.

I know high power cars burn some oil but didn't know to this extend

car is mint. runs great .everything working great....(no drips on garage floor)

any input will be great!

How many miles in those few months? I wouldn't say that you should panic. When driven, notice any unusual colors from the exhaust? Or does it just seem normal?

My guess is you'll be ok. Just monitor closely for a little bit, check the oil once a week or so and jot the miles down somewhere. I was rather spirited in my RS4 for a little bit and she burned off some oil, filled it up and no problems since.

I say less than 2 to 300 miles at MOST.. smoke color seem normal but I don't have eyes on the back lolz ...

everytime when its out and warmed properly I would beat on it for a short distance.

^ Yea. That proper beating after sitting could be it clearing its throat. It could be worst case scenario but I would throw in the towel just yet.

Just keep an eye on it and if you put your foot in it keep that in mind as well.

I fill up 1 quart every 1.5-2k miles right before I change the oil at 3k. I drive my car hard sometimes, but it does see more than its share of stop and go traffic.

I change my oil every 8000kms

Between oil changes I top up 1/2 to 3/4 litres.

They may not have filled it up all the way on accident or something. As long as your less that 1qt every 800 miles you are good according to benz/amg specs. Now if all 800 of those miles is dedicated road course/track use thats a different story.
