Rad fan on max all the time

Rad fan on max all the time
Problem started this morning.
Cold start and the radiator fan is on max (very loud) and after I got to work and shut off the car, the fan stays on max for about a minute and turns off.
Started up a few times throughout the day and same thing.
Car's a 2009 C63 out of warranty.
Any ideas?

With my first F30, the electric cooling fan crapped out three times and they kept replacing it to no avail. BMW had to buy the car back and then they ordered me a brand new one.
