There is an event in Palm Beach on Saturday May 10th. The event is called AMG Private Lounge Days, it is an official AMG sponsored event and is open to anyone with an AMG. There will be representatives from MB/AMG there, they bring out lots of cars, their entire fleet of AMG Driving Academy cars plus they usually race cars or other special vehicles there. They usually have givaways and other special surprises. They have an autocross event as well as ride along hot laps with AMG test drivers and instructors.

In addition to the above mentioned daytime festivities they have secured the PBIR drag strip from 7-10pm that evening. Due to insurance reason the drag strip event is an "unofficial" AMG event, wink wink nod nod. They have secured both lanes with full VHT prep. The event is only open to MB's and AMG, no exception will be made. This should be an epic event being that PBIR is ten minutes from Renntech. I will have all three of my Black Series dow there for this event.

The AMG Private Lounge team is pleased to invite our members to join us for the first official AMG Private Lounge Gathering of 2014 at Palm Beach International Raceway on Saturday, May 10, 2014.

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE DETAILS BELOW AS THEY HAVE CHANGED FROM PAST EVENTS!

The event will take place from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. We set the late afternoon start time to allow for out of town guests to drive in, as well as to minimize overlaps with the AMG Driving Academy Private Lounge BASIC training that will be taking place on that day.

PLEASE SEE THE END OF THIS POST FOR INFORMATION ABOUT DRIVING YOUR AMG VEHICLE ON THE PBIR DRAG STRIP FROM 7:00 PM to 10 PM AND THE ASSOCIATED COSTS TO DO THIS.

We are very excited to welcome you and your guests to an afternoon of all things AMG, brought to you by the AMG Private Lounge. We think that Palm Beach International Raceway with a variety of AMG vehicles on track, courtesy of the AMG Driving Academy, will provide us a great background for what has the potential to be one of the largest gatherings of AMG vehicles on the East Coast of the US.

We will provide a designated parking area for AMG Private Lounge members where mixing and mingling with your fellow members is encouraged. We expect a big crowd of AMG vehicles and a photographer will be on hand to document the day.

As you will see below in the schedule, we plan to have AMG vehicles on display, AMG presentations, Q&A sessions, Hot Laps with Pro drivers and a chance to drive our AMG’s on an Auto Cross course. We also plan to have a couple of special guests and a couple of our usual surprises.

Members are welcome to bring a limited number of guests (up to 3) as long as they arrive with the PL member. Unfortunately, due to track requirements, children under the age of 15 are not permitted. Please keep in mind that this event will be conducted while an AMG Driving Academy event is also going on. Due to this, some areas of the track will be restricted and PL members will be asked to stay in designated areas. Under no circumstances will PL members be allowed to interfere with the AMG Driving Academy event that will happening at the same time.

As we know our members would like a chance to drive at this event, we have been able to set aside time from 5:30 PM to 7 PM where we will be able to use the AMG Driving Academy Auto Cross course. Due to the limed time that we have to use the course it will only be open to AMG Private Lounge members for participation. We will not be able to accommodate members' guests as drivers.

Each AMG Private Lounge member and guest in attendance will be also able to participate in a hot lap around the Palm Beach International Raceway road course in an AMG with a Pro driver driving, time permitting*. (*as noted above, due to the track time constraints, we may be limited to the number of people that we can take for hot laps at this event. The PL team will do everything possible to accommodate all PL members and their guests.)

Please keep in mind that the purpose of this event is to allow our Private Lounge members a chance to get together, view AMG vehicles and talk with the AMG Private Lounge Team. THIS IS NOT AN ON TRACK EVENT – MEMBERS WILL NOT HAVE A CHANCE TO DRIVE ON THE PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY TRACK AS A PART OF THIS EVENT.

I'll be doing the Academy day that day. I'll have to stay around afterwards for this drag event now! Awesome. Thanks for the update. Looking forward to seeing your beasts as well.
