Some questions about the FI C63 amg

Hi there, I've got some questions about the C63 amg, I know I might get the answers from searching but it takes lot of time so I prefer ask all of them in the same thread, hope you don't mind.

1. I found many c63 here doing 1/4mile <11s and most of them are 2008-2011 with the old 7spd slushbox, why not 2012 MCT box? I mean, the new "speed shift" box can't handle those supercharged torque? Which one is better? (I am choosing c63 so the old one is better or the new?)

2. The 507 edition comes with 507hp, but what is the big difference between the normal and the 507? If I tune a normal one to >507hp, is it the same car?

3. How is the supercharged c63 's fuel consumption? Significantly increase? Could I still use a supercharged c63 as a daily drive?

Thanks.

Short answers

1. MCT designed to shift a little faster
2. Same car as in C63 but different engine internals and other exterior/interior updates.
3. Increase fuel? Possibly depending on right foot. Sure why not

To elaborate on 2nd question, you can get regular C63 and do ECU flash and have. More power than 507hp.
But 507 has some internals borrowed from BS

Think the guys with the 2009-2010's have just had more time to mod. I'm keeping the mods to my car as simple as possible until it is out of warranty so maybe others are the same (exception jrcart).

Regarding your first question, don't mean to hurt anyones feelings, but back then, people actually modded their engines and didn't just want wheels/cf lol. I've personally modded my whole exterior, long tube headers with a exhaust system and tune, working on interior at the moment and soon a supercharger on the way!

Weistec states it can be safely daily driven, they make a top notch system. This car wasn't meant for great gas mileage, you'll know that even without a supercharger.
