a couple more. Note that normally you cannot see the internals that well. I took a picture with the sun (low) shining into it, so it can be seen better.
I have driven the car maybe 50 miles like this and seen water temperatures of 192 - 197, oil temperatures of 212 - 225 degrees. The real proof will be on the track and that will only happen in spring.
1. Front cooler finished
2. Wheel Arch cooler finished (no fan)
3. Entire front with sun hitting it low.

Thank you for taking the time to post all of the photos and information!
Please report back what you're seeing now with the vital fluid temperatures.
Overall, the cost was much lower than I anticipated. The quality of the hardware looks to be outstanding (sort of expected though with AMG).

question on part number of package 44O.
A 204 880 06 00 panel
A 204 500 57 00 cooling system
are listed in the doc (i understand they are package which included many parts together) but when i checked the price only $700 for each through online parts store. is that true?
i am not sure if these are correct since one oil cooler is more than $700 in the system if i purchase separately
did i mess up anything?
Wobble64 any idea on this?

Wow, this is surprising to hear. With the flowing nature of the circuit, it is strange you got only 1.5 laps before hitting 284 F! That's insane...Especially since the Medical Car goes around the track without issue. But then again, the Medical Car has this cooling package or something even more intense.
Question: where on the track did the temp hit 140C?
-C

i did 2-3 warmup laps(to heat up tyres), before i went all out.after first lap, it was already about 135 deg C, so i had to cool down for a lap or two, then it dropped to about 120+, whacked again, and it hit 140 at one point or another.
my car has the p31 development package, other than that, everything else is stock.
the ignorant me was wondering IF it is the p31 that caused my kill joy.

adolzero,
you are right. The package is priced much lower than if you had to buy each part individually. The total cost for the 2 kits is between 1,300 and 1,800$ (wholesale/retail with tax). Then you need to expect about 1,000-1,200 labor on top. All in all 2,500 - 3,000 total.

thx for explanation, it is realling amazing upgrade and your car really rocks

Update:
Now have a bit over 400 miles on the new setup. The variation on the oil temperature is much smaller - once fully warmed up it stays between 217 - 225 degrees. Way more steady than before. Also takes a couple miles longer to get to 176 (= engine warm).
Not yet a stress test, as the outside temperature has dropped, but in general just feels way more stable and robust. Oil and water are now equally solid.
I am happy!

both oil coolers are bigger and hence contain somewhat more oil. the difference will be less than a liter though.
The temperature here was about 10 degrees .Celsius/50 Fahrenheit during the day. So, as I said, not a stress test for cooling capacity. But I used to see bigger swings in the past: The oil temperature would have been maybe 220 when driving highway speeds and when stuck in traffic would go up to 240. I don't see that any more.
Given it will get colder now, the real stress test will come only in spring, when I'll take it to a track.
Finally, the tranny oil capacity is unchanged. The only modification in the tranny cooling system is a different routing of the tranny oil lines to the cooler. That is inconsequential. The tranny cooler was not changed.

Getting the oil cooling upgrade will definitely help and be, at a minimum, a step in the right direction. Hopefully it will be all you will need.

hi wobble, i tried to order it from ecstuning and found it is back order status. i was also told by mbparts that it seems this generous offer will not be open unless urgent case apply to local mb dealer. could you let me know where you order the parts? i dont live in US so online shopping to my friend and pick up them when i have a trip there is the only way i can think of...

adolzero, I have also tried ECSTuning. They are great for routine things, but they do no special follow up and also could not tell me anything at all about whether and when I would get the parts. I gave up with them and cancelled the order.
I got my kit from OEDiscountparts.com. Tracy there did follow up, put a special order in with my VIN and kept me informed about progress via email. And finally got me the kit.
It is possible, that she will not be able to get it if your VIN is not a North American VIN, that would have to be tested.
Good luck!

Thank you Wobble64 and all others who shed light on the cooling issue!
The 440 Cooling Package is currently available with stock stateside - i was able to order without issue from OE Discount Parts, and included my VIN in the order form. Tracy got back to me next day and had my order drop shipped from a warehouse in Cali.
Incidentally, have found OE Discount Parts to be the best merchant to source most, if not all, MB replacement parts - best price and top notch service. First rate outfit, right there!

Hello Wobble 64 and MBNRG,
Will this price includes all 440 Cooling package for C 63 AMG, Mercedes as described in the document ?.
Or are only some parts and you have to adapt the rest.
I did the search by part number in OEdiscount, but do not appear. You guys asked the parts by email?
Do you already have installed without the problem?
Thank You.

The two parts numbers will get you a complete set with all parts you need. It is true bolt-on with no other parts required.
#145
Also, noticed you have an 09 model year which to my knowledge may not be compatible with this package... You must submit your VIN anyway to be verified for this Cooling upgrade, so give it a shot and see if it works

When I give the option to "search by part number", I get this message:
"Part number A 204 880 00 was not found".
You're right that package does not cover for 2009 models, but the BERGEN IMPORTS guys told me that I can adapt with some modifications to the bumper, since the change between a model and another is only aesthetic details in that area.
Will it be this correct? Is it could adapt easily?
Thanks for your support guys

I assume it can be adjusted, but am not certain, as I have never owned a pre-facelift car. I also do not know whether AMG will even ship it to you. No other way to find out but to try.

Tracy will sell you any part they have. VIN number doesn't mean anything - it's just a way for them to make sure the parts you order are the correct ones for the car. It's not like a FL or 507 or BS VIN is some sort of 'magic ticket' to get special parts.
