Coming from the n54 world, $1200 for a handheld flash, let alone one that is permanently vin locked, seems absurd.
It's a shame Cobb doesn't develop for this platform

everyone and their dog and cats own a BMW though, I see so many BMWs they are like honda civics now thats why, I see maybe 1 other C63 once every 6-7 months and usually it's some grandpa driving, where as 99% of BMW drivers are <30

With '09s easily had under 35k, I'm sure that'll change soon

Not to mention the only C63 I have seen under $35k had a bad car fax and had over 70k miles. They can have it.
I see 15-20 BMW's around my house in a given day, I have seen 2 C63's on the last 3 years and one was brand new on a showroom.
And to really put it into perspective, I see 2-5 GTRS a week, a few lambos, and 911's are like civics here.
The C63 is somewhat rare from my experience. That is why I came from BMW to the C63.

How would this change? The amount of 09' C63's on the streets is only going to decline, they aren't producing more 09' C63's....

The n54 (135, 335) is in "slightly well off highschool senior" price range now, and the BMW scene is exploding with cheaper options. Not to sound offensive, as I am an '09 owner myself, but the first gen c63s are no longer exclusive vehicles. The whole "why you cheaping out on your 70k car, brah?" school of thought does not apply to everyone.
And yes 996s are "like civics" because they too are in poor man's price range. Daddy warbucks is selling his old cars and passing them down to average joe who cant afford dealership repairs and $20k turbo kits. Not sure what point you're trying to make here.
All it takes is one tuner to upset the market

It will change because the cheaper a platform gets on the used market, the more value oriented the customers get.

Exclusive by synonym definition is as follows:
sole, unshared, unique, only, individual, personal, private
Yes, anyone could upset the market by introducing a cheaper product, that can be said for any brand, model of car.
I understand your point, though. The younger less established may be willing to cheap out and buy products for less. The only issue I see here is, the person selling these products is going to have to understand his market place is probably going to be less than 10% of the already low units on the streets. For them to research and provide a product for a fraction of the already low qty would require them to have even higher pricing... no? Otherwise you will be getting a really low sub par product for your money where no r&d has been done.

Even if C63 prices drop to $5K there still aren't enough of them produced to make the tuning that cheap. How many N54/N55 vechiles are there compared to M156? 10x? 100x? Take the cost to develop any performance mod and divide it among the potential buyers.
The R&D cost passed on to us (the C63 consumer) is going to be higher + add the actual cost to actually make the part + add the profit the tuner wants to make and there is a rough estimate of cost. Not sure how the price of the vechicle factors in here.
BMW's and 911's are more prevalent/common because there are so many of them. 911's are almost as common as civics because they have had 50 years of production, and owners care for them and keep them up rather than scrapping them as they age.
