Top Speed Run
Went out today to see what speed I could reach on the autobahn. My GoPro was dead so I didn't get any video and not sure how to set it up to show speedo anyway.
I hit an indicated 192 mph . Only mod is the Eurocharged V4 tune. It had a little bit left, but I was getting whistling noise and the stock tires are only rated up to 186, so I didn't want to push it over that for more than a minute.
Glad I was finally able to get an open look. Tried it yesterday, but due to traffic the fastest I got was 181 and that was out trying for about an hour.

Everytime I'm in Germany (Frankfurt, Hanau, Bad Nauheim) I wish I had my ride out there lol

I will definitely miss the unrestricted bits when I move back to the states next year. You could always rent something for a day. I have friends who will rent an M3 and take it to the Nurburgring for a day. Hockenheim Ring is really close to Frankfurt too, but they don't have as many open days.

It can be. Modded parts need to be TUV approved. If you look at Carlsson or HMS tuning's website you'll see some of there packages are and some aren't TUV approved.
I was able to get my car registered for 2 years since it was new. I'll be back in the states by the time I would need it to go back in for inspection to be re-registered so I haven't looked into specifics yet.
The biggest concern about going fast on the autobahn, even though it's legal on the unrestricted bits, if you are going over 130 kph (roughly 80 mph) and have an accident you're instantly at fault and liable for everything

They aren't legal here either but we do it anyway and I can still register and pass inspection.
My question is. If I ship my car to Germany and decide I wanna leave it there and register the car there will I be able to with lth or would I have to change to stock exhaust to pass emissions if there is any ?

I live in the land of the "free". Top speed in my state is 60mph and big brother loves me. I don't know how to take care of myself so the government does that for me in the land of the "free".
