If 507 was your daily driver...
Leasing my 507 as commute car, but want something fun and manual for change of pace. Will buy so I can play around with mods. Budget around $80K.
2008 997 Turbo? 2008-09 R8? 2011-12 997 4S or GTS?
Other options are splurge on 2006 or so F430 or save and do a 2011 Cayman R...
Any opinions?

R8... Not for 80k, at least not a V10.
Get a 997 turbo if you enjoy supreme straight line power and superior agility.
Get a 997 gt3 if you enjoy pretty decent straight line power but crazy agility.
Cayman R isn't a bad choice either or the 4s. I wouldn't do an f430, just my taste.

Man, if you're looking to add on mods, you're going to be hard pressed to find any of those cars with any type of serious budget left for mods.
I found a FEW 997 T's under 80k, but not much and they definitely had higher mlg.
I would say 996 T then slap some go fast goodies on that. If you don't want any creature comforts and you just want a fun *** car, check these out.

I used to work at a dealer that sold those, they're awesome!

Buy my 996tt Built motor, big turbos w/ full fabspeed exhaust, full 997 widebody conversion (Front and Rear end), 5k miles on motor, powaaa. $60k. Saves you 20k for whatever you'd like to do but you'd be hard pressed to find anything else to do. Maybe racing seats and a half cage?

I'll second the GT3...997 Turbo was even more comfortable for me than the 507 coupe, it'd be the other way around, daily driving the TT and taking the 507 out on weekend.
New Cayman S is awesome but you wanted manual. Previous Cayman R interior is less room but if you can fit ok it's a consideration.

^ I will always move cars around. I love the car so much but if someone made a serious offer I'd consider it. I highly doubt anyone would send an offer due to this thread anyways so eh. With this car I get to 100 like nothing on the highway, literally a half throttle light pull and boom. That ticket would be bad.
Also, I keep seeing c63bs' for sale and cry a little on the inside.

GT3 997 Turbo all the way!
I don't know how you can resist this.

After goofing around looking at everything from R8 V10s, Lambo Gallardo, F360/430, Astons, Maseratis...
I realized that is a b%tch trying to find a weekend car that is more fun than C63 without spending major cash.
The best I could reasonably do was this (sorry for the crappy picture, will upload more later):
2012 Turbo S...got a great deal with only 6K miles. Funny that my "weekend car" will have a bigger gas tank with better gas mileage...oh first world problems...
Thanks guys, will update with more pics of both later...
