tried that.. every which way... was thinking of sledging a piece of wood from the inside.. but that didn't sound right either...
took off the center cap and told him to spray wd40 around the hub and let it sit (...and not to spray the lug bolts...).
It's driving me crazy... how can it be frozen with such a small contact point.

Happens sometimes
Self centering friction fit hub
With a block of wood or rubber mallet whack it around the perimeter from the backside
Be careful working under or around a car on jack
When off clean the hub with a wire brush and put a bit of grease or antisieze on it

had a similar problem with a spacer that was stuck even a mallet won't get it off. easy solution, get a heat gun, metal doesn't melt at 800 degrees, but they expand at diff temps. cast wheel will expand quicker than cast iron brakes, heat it up and sucker will slip off like nothing. if you have no heat gun, get something that can heat it enough where metal will expand just enough, then you can separate.

Thx all... Got it with a light sledge hammer to the inside if the wheel...
If it were me, I'd take off all the wheels and clean them... You could never change a tire in an emergency like this...

I always put a very light coat of anti-sieze around the contact points so this does not happen.
Nothing worse than being deep in a trail with an off road truck and you blow a tire and cannot get it off to change it.

my wife bananas! :D
the easiest way I have found to get a frozen wheel off is to place a block of wood into the inner side of the wheel when the car is jacked up. slowly let it down (lugs off of course) and since the wood is there, it will gently put pressure at the frozen area to breakoff... you will hear it clearly. jack car back up and remove tire

Or ram the side of the wheel or tire gently by rolling a spare tire against it. Just make sure the vehicle is on a secure jack or go against the oscillation of the vehicle on the jack when you do that or the vehicle is really going to fall off.
