C63 (Headers + Filter intake + Tune) vs Corvette C7 (Headers Only)
Hey guys,
I just watched a street race C63 vs Corvette C7 made by one of my friends who's the owner of the C63 in the video. I was surprised by the results. I will leave the shock for you guys:

It's actually a brilliant performance car if you can live with the two seats.

The only emotion I am experiencing is shock that the beating wasn't worse.
Not sure why one would think a tuned C63 with a few bolties would hang with a new Stingray... That car is in a league of its own when talking performance.
I am surprised and happy to see the C do as well as it did. Nice runs.

2009 Barolo red C63 AMG (SOLD).13' P31 c63 coupe 2012 porsche panamera
The c63 with full bolt ons does alright but people seem to expect it to be unbeatable lol when so many cars are much quicker. But the outcome was very expected. Dont forget the 4000 pounds we carry around. I love the new vettes honestly. But the c sounds better

Don't see what the big deal is. The C7 didn't whoop the C63...
And looking at the 1/4 mile times in all the magazines out there, they are similar... (Bone stock obviously)...
I'm a member on this forum and the Corvette forum and I have owned 2 C5 Corvettes and now have a C63 & I appreciate both cars.
Would I buy a C7? Absolutely... But the C63 is much more convenient to haul around a family of 5!!!
My 2 cents! Cheers

Thats the great thing about the C63 how it can hold its own against "Sports cars".
Mine is a 4 door saloon which transports the family about in comfort, It carries the shopping (Groceries) home. The seats drop for building materials!!!
Then when i am on my own it scares and shocks the Porsche / GTR owners (In a straight line from a roll)
An all rounder i would say

LS motors are legendary. They are very reliable motors, they are also extremely mod friendly. The C6/7 Are one of the very few American cars I would love to own.
You just can't beat the price / performance of those cars.
Good run with the C, our cars hold there own quite well.

And before a riot breaks out about my dyno numbers here, there's 3 things to consider.
1. I'm at 6500ft elevation
2. turbo engines are less effected by elevation, or DA
3. The dyno I was on is VERY stingy. The truck I said made 640hp, made well over 700rwhp on a dyno in SLC, Utah 2 days prior.

Friend of mine has a 6.0 liter ls style engine out of a crashed chevy van, added a killer fuel system, cam, and a turbo, and put down 640hp on the very same dyno that my C63 made 354hp with the mods in my sig. LS engines are awesome. Although, if we had a boost friendly compression ratio, or didn't mind paying for race gas, our engines would be nothing short of amazing as well. I have a 91 fox-body 5.0 mustang, and when I decide to upgrade the engine substantially, I will absolutely look seriously into a boosted ls engine of some sort.

Elevation sucks major D for N/A cars The people at sea level have it made lol.
My next big boy car will be turbo for sure.... E63 or a GTR.
